Any word on fundie responses to the election?

This couple-minute clip from the American Family Association's coverage of election night really sums up the whole fundie reaction, in my view:

woD1OZbVsSg

They go as far to suggest that America should be split into two, one part for the fundies and their "way of life" and the other for the liberals. They think they would need a wall because liberals would, in their imaginations, be dying to get into the fundie side  .

But on a deeper level, I couldn't help but think of all the blood that was shed to keep this union intact and how these people would just piss that away if they could. They are anything but patriots.

Socialism. That word does not mean what ANY fundie thinks it means.

I would also like to point out that Malia Obama is an absolute stunner. I could see her being a model when she is older. She has the height, the bone structure and the slightly unconventional and striking look.

They are gonna need a bankroll considering the red states receive apx. $1.50 to $2 for every dollar they pay to the Feds in taxes.

I agree. All the women in that family are lovely, right up to Michelle's mother, but Malia is just stunning.

I wished I hadn't watched that because I am trying not to hate everyone.

I'm going to sleep on the floor (again) with a copy of the Morning Star for "comfort". And I will still try not to hate everyone. It's...getting more difficult. To not hate everyone.

Pray for me.

Malia is starting to really look like her mom. Sasha, I don't know who she looks like, but she's pretty too.

The Obama family is such a class act. The girls are gorgeous and Michelle is a true model. So proud to have them as the First Family and representing America.

Me too. They are such a great face for the rest of the world to see. We've had quite a string of irritating men and their wives. It's so NICE to look like the cool people!

That map looks like it's possibly the 2004 Bush Kerry map. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/vote2004/countymap.htm

Wow, so she's just a straight-up liar then, posting a map from an election where the Republicans did actually win and claiming it's the map from this election.

What a good Christian thing to do. (Oh, sorry, just realized you never said whether she claimed to be Christian. I got her mixed up with the fundies on this thread.)

One of the folks at Focused Homemaker used election day as an opportunity to link to a post she wrote before about how women shouldn't have the right to vote. I do not understand women who want to be treated like second class citizens.

I just saw this post in my Google Reader from Rebecca eleventy!!11 at hiswayserves-hiswayserves.blogspot.co.uk but it seems to have been deleted from the blog already:

I Can't Believe It!

by His Way Services

How could this happen? I don't understand, I just don't understand.

That man is not a leader, and he's been placed in authority over

us again! 4 more long years! I don't want us to have to suffer

because of other people's wrong decisions and sins! I just

don't understand!!!!! What will happen now?

All the Obama women are gorgeous and tall and by the time Malia and Sasha reach their adult heights, they'll basically be towering over Barack. They are quite the attractive First Family. Plus, Bo is super cute.

I know the Idaho map isn't accurate because while that blue county in the middle is Blaine (waving hello) there's another one, Latah, that went blue this time as well. At best, this is a version from 2008 I think. Also there is another one I saw a couple of years ago that was an attempt at covering from red to blue; there was a lot of purple on that map, as well as the solid reds and blues. Just because a majority votes one way doesn't mean everybody in the county did. It's not a fair representation -- though Blaine is still very very blue.

And there's not many people here, but we're mostly from elsewhere. I live in a town of about 3800. Latah County is where Moscow is -- a university town, the U of Idaho. Not a BYU affiliate school. So that makes sense as well.

Miss Raquel posted.

It was really hard for her to pray for Obama, but she forced herself to anyway.

I may be reading to much into this but I didn't like how she referred to him as "Obama". He's the president and has been elected to office by the vote of the people. He should then be referred to as President Obama as that is his title. I do love how somel of the fundies are so butthurt about the election results they're not even mentioning it-like the Arndt family for instance.

A coworker of mine linked to this blog: garrettkell.com/the-great-tragedy-of-the-2012-election/ (hopefully I broke that link correctly) and the real reason Republicans lost the election? It was all the unborn babies aborted who couldn't vote!

The Great Tragedy of the 2012 Election

There was a great tragedy that occurred on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

The tragedy was not found in the celebrations of elected officials or the concessions of defeat. It was not colored red or blue, and it wasn’t wrapped up in useless campaign promises.

The tragedy of the 2012 election is that in this land of the free and home of the brave, many people were not allowed to vote. Their voices were silenced. Their votes were not cast. Their opinions not expressed. Why?

Because they were dead.

The great tragedy of the 2012 election is that roughly 33 million would-be voters were not with us, because they had been murdered. From 1973-1994 roughly 35 million babies were aborted. That’s roughly 35 million 18-39 year-olds who did not vote because they were dead.

That is an unspeakable tragedy.

Yes, because of course all those women who felt it was their best option to have abortions would all have given birth to babies who would have grown up to vote Republican.

What they dont realise, is even if these fetuses did end up being born, they might not have voted for Romney. Fundies wouldnt even have considered abortion, therefore most of these fetuses were growing in the uteruses of people who werent fundie, are obviously pro choice, and if they were born they would probably have been raised in a household which supports womens rights, and would probably have voted for Obama.

Word.

Also, since black women have a higher abortion rate than white women, and black people were more likely to vote for Obama than white people . . . you do the math.

It's like these people have never even heard of logic.

Probably because you've evolved past the stage in life where you think everyone's situation is just like yours and whatever pleases you pleases everyone else. Focusedhomemaker is happy with her role as submissive wife, therefore all women in the world should aspire to/settle for that and be as content as she is. Any other path is wrong, sinful, and/or stupid.
