Please tell me this potential Mr Jana will not be teaming up with her for a home renovation show that the humpers seem convinced she deserves?

He likes to make furniture, so I predict at least a furniture/home deco-brand for them.

Jinger did not escape! Every ounce of her personality has completely disappeared. She's become the absolute stereotype of a Stepford wife. She's worse off with Jerm than she was at home.

I hate to tell you but she doesn’t want to leave.

Plus isn't she "on record" saying that she liked a man who liked to get his hands dirty, or some such?

I'll say that the Jana thread is distracting me from the sh*t show at work this week, so bring the Jissman speculation on!!!

 :isb:

Yes, she wanted a country guy she could work with not a "city guy in an office" like Jinger. She throws a bit of indirect shade at Jinger and says she couldn't just sit at home while her husband was at work. At this point both Austin and Jeremy are not yet announced but are in the pre courting stages I believe. Its heavily hinted at for Joy and Jinger the whole episode although Jinger is definitely given a lot more attention.

Well if the speculation is true, go Jana! Let the woman be free as she is 31 and shouldn’t be so restricted. Sad as always that marriage is the only ticket to “freedom”. I don’t think the life of a Fundie wife is free but that’s as free as they’re gonna get.

I think Jana is as free as she wants to be. This woman hasn't just drank the kool-aid - she's making the pitchers at this point for her siblings. A marriage for Jana only means she's going to bring more children into this cult.

Well this speculation is distracting me from the shitshow that is happening in my country political life (now there are more rumors of "leaders" of a party wanting to quit since nobody seems to care too much or listen to what he says) so keep going Duggars a double marriage will be a nice distraction in this pandemic stasis

He seems very similar to Chad Paine, and I’ve always thought Chad was really Jana’s first choice.

It sounds like they are doing medical training for a "civil war" fundies/MAGA want so bad.

On 10/26/2020 at 10:44 PM, socalrules said:

What gets me is that in a real disaster, they are not going to be called in to provide medical help. No state or FEMA is calling the fundy group to come save the day. They are just going to show up to take pictures. I would not allow any of them to even put a bandaid on my knee. They are wasting their time on fake training for a fundy group when they could be taking a real course to save lives. Does anyone really believe they are well-trained and competent enough to actually be depended on in a real disaster? They remind me of when we would play hospital as kids.

I am pretty sure they know this. This is training for the potential "civil-war" their world wants so bad.

Is it a new one? I know that there a fake old one from 2017 that is still up there at Amazon.

I just went to Amazon and all I see is the fake one from 2017.

The registry I saw people talking about yesterday was an Amazon registry for Katey Nakatsu and Jed with an April 3 wedding date listed.

Omg, the Jana thread is hot because there may actually be news, not because she posted a boring photo on Instagram?!?!

It’s often been said that if the show ran into trouble JB would roll out the big guns to save it - if TLC were holding back because of the pandemic misbehaviour then a Jana wedding with a few interchangeable sons courting thrown in is his ultimate bargaining chip.

Jana seems steeped in the ‘ministry’ and doesn’t appear to have any source of income other than the show and the occasional endorsement so I’m sure she’d go along with JB’s plans.

We really don’t know how Jana will act after leaving the big house. She may just be playing the game, look at Josh, Jill and Jinger and how they are living their lives. Ok, Josh got reeled back in for reasons we all know about but Jill and Jinger “escaped”. Jessa, on the othe hand continues to drink the koolaid.

I've always gotten the vibe from Jana that once she's married, she becomes the Duggar we rarely hear from. Not because she disagrees with their beliefs but more so that she seems pretty uncomfortable with cameras and people being all up in her business. Another reason I think she wants a hands-dirty type of a guy, he'd be more willing to disappear and they just spend their days being right with the lord while growing and building things. Just living a sweet, wholesome, bigoted life in peace, ya know.

Of course, I'm probably wrong. If you'd asked me 5 years ago I would've thought that Jill would be on her 5th kid by now and Jessa would be the one making steps towards growth and ha! Obviously not.

Jana really doesn’t have the charisma to carry a show on her own, so I’m not too worried about a home remodel tv empire from that one.

I always assumed her comment about not wanting to be stuck at home while a husband did an office job was about Michael Bates Keilen’s experience. Jinger and Jeremy weren’t married yet, and he’s primarily worked from home, anyway. However, I thought the element of her comment about not wanting a preacher was a way of making it clear she didn’t envy Jinger (who was jumping in the courtship line ahead of Jana).

Stephen Wissmann is the only age-appropriate single fundie guy on my radar who would seem remotely compatible with Jana, so I’ve been shipping them for awhile. It certainly makes sense on paper.

Today I was thinking about the Duggars and how uncanny it is that the majority of fundies that we talk about seem to have very active, successful businesses and some of their kids are educated and working in other marketable careers, and then we have the Duggars. Now I know JB has real estate and some car lots, but does he actively market those properties, or has he trained any of his adult children to propel those businesses forward? Obviously JB put most of his eggs in the TLC basket. WTH is going to happen when the show ends? How are these families, particularly those with the last name “Duggar” going to survive? I just wonder why JB didn’t get into construction, plumbing or another trade where they could have established a very successful family business that might have been able to support 11 families (JB + 10 sons’ families)? Why aren’t a bunch of them licensed realtors? Landscaping would have been another viable option. Instead, JB went for fame and instilled entitlement as opposed to a genuine work ethic.

Could Josh really support a family of 8 on a used car salesman’s salary? Why isn’t he driving a city bus or working at WM?

I have not seen any posts about it but just wondering, is this the first time this family attended a Duggar wedding. If they attended a lot of them, this probably means no more than a group of fundies keeping themselves entertained at Magnolia  but if this is their first, it’s a whole other bag of chips.

I’m unsure. But I do know that back in September, the Duggars attended the family camp that the Bontragers and Wissmanns host every year. I do believe that might’ve been the first time they’ve gone. The Maxwells attended the Bontrager/Wissmann family camp for the first time and less than a month later John and Chelsy announced they were engaged. So it could be a clue.

I mean, she's no closer to being 'free' in the way we would want her to be. But I think she's living a life she aspired to, and which she was discouraged from when she was living in the TTH.

She's a glossy, sanctimonious, city type with her own line of scented candles and what is basically a wellness podcast for the soul. She's definitely not in Tontitown any more. I'm sure a lot of her family do feel that she has defected to a totally different lifestyle.

child protection issues is why I wouldnt want him driving a bus.

Sadly though as he has never been convicted he would pass the Aussie working with children check. He would not pass the social media check though and the backlash from parents would see him taken off the roads for sure.

I'm sorry. My response was a little bitchier than I intended it to be. Jinger had so much potential and she wasted it on a slimy douchebag like Jeremy. She may be living in the city now as opposed to a small town, but is that really an improvement in the long run? She now has 2 small children, no close friends (that we know of), no support system from her Mom/sisters, and I highly doubt if Jeremy is extremely helpful. I just feel bad for her...

I was thinking more of a city bus. He’s been driving big RV’s for decades, so I thought it fit his skill set. He is sleazy for sure, but if he’s going to keep procreating he needs to get off his duff and support all those kids.

what is a "city bus?" is it not a passenger one?
