He hates the Clintons, so as a Democrat he voted Trump, and convinced my mother to do the same. He thinks Covid is a hoax, and moves between his 2 homes, but avoids all other places. He does wear a mask though. I’m assuming they’ll vote for Trump again, because they can not admit to being wrong. They buy into the whole Biden is a Socialist BS. And you know what, these people used to be so Democratic in their thinking. They are not into guns, could not care less about abortion and think everyone should be educated. They also think because they’ve been successful ( jr college level educations) that anyone can be successful. They do not realize that by supporting the notion that multi-billionaires should get to keep every dollar that they've every earned OR OFTEN TIMES INHERITED, while leaving the bills to be paid by those with less deep pockets, ultimately makes more people more needy. They are people voting against their own economic welfare and helping to prevent young people in the same economic predicament that they once were in themselves, to advance. All because, women and minorities. It pains me to type this. They are also practicing Catholics, but not of the preachy or follow every rule variety. My dad was always an overt misogynist, although he helped me with college admissions and financing, because I think he realized that there’s lots of male a-holes, and everyone needs to be able to support themself. Clearly, both my parents  closeted their racism until Trump allowed it to be Kosher. My parents were hard workers and solid citizens. They raised and educated 3 non-Trumpsters. If people like this can be fooled...it’s frightening.

ETA- I remember another thing my mom said. Where is all this money supposed to come from? To which I replied, the people who Trump gave a HUGE tax break to need to start putting back into the system. Of course, that comment was met with silence. I am so sick of fiscal conservatives not being able to add 1 and 1 and get 2. The people with all the money have to help pay the bills. Oh and by the way, are they willing to give up their SS and Medicare. Hard no. My dad is also one of those guys with the for life big, ole Union pension. Yet, he’d vote Anti-union. He got his, screw everyone else mentality, yet bitch about needy people. Don’t they realize that if the previous generation had been as me-centric that he might be needy? I so want to blame this on old age, but nah, Trump has just allowed these deep seated opinions To be socially acceptable to express.

I listened to the whole thing. It’s basically Trump trying to push out his repetitive talking points (I got the most done out of everybody ever; the plague happened and that wasn’t my fault) and Leslie constantly going back to the original question, which irritates him no end. So he whines about her being fake news and not asking Biden tough questions while being mean to him. And then he just has enough and ends the interview. Wuss.

If I was Biden, I'd stay somewhere else the first week after the inauguration so the whole place can be cleaned, fumigated, and re-decorated. 

And searched to make sure there isn't anything priceless or important missing, or any booby traps left behind.

On the plus side, I had another political discussion with my very Republican boss a couple days ago, and ended it with "I just really wish people would do some research before they vote, and vote based on facts rather than the rampant lies being peddled everywhere." I don't know if that was the catalyst, but the next day I found printouts of the Democratic 2020 party platform, and one of the 2016 Republican one. Hopefully he's reading them. Even if he still votes Republican, at least he'll have made the effort.

I'm assuming he didn't print the Republican 2020 platform because "Desperately try to keep Trump placated while simultaneously trying not to piss off too many constituents AND trying not to lose our corporate subsidies." doesn't really need printing out.
