Lori Alexander 16: Protecting Men's Jobs from the Assaults of Women

Interesting.  The post just went from 36 to 27 posts.  Some of Ken's comments are among the missing.  Dave's comment about women being abused because they disobey is gone too.

Guess Ken decided it was time to break out the scrub brush Norwex cloth.

thanks for spelling out my thoughts. i'm on an ancient mobile so typing is a taking ages.

Ligher note: thanks for correcting my spelling mistakes. english is not my native language. i didn't realize loose/lose are 2 words so i didn't bother to to look it up.

Sorry in advance for all these mistakes yet to come. I guess i should install an english keyboard with spell checker.

English must be a nightmare to learn! Two, too, to. Won, one.......

Glad you are here!

I think Ken and Lori may secretly agree with much of Dave's comments. That's why he is being given a voice.

I'm sure Lori does. Although I'm not sure she's bright enough to understand the nuances of the different viewpoints of Dave and Ken, and their implications. For Lori, I think the most misogynistic-sounding person will always be the one she agrees with most. If Dave proposed that all unmarried feminist women were rounded up and shot in the name of societal purity, citing some Bible passage to support his position, I would imagine Lori would agree with him.

Exactly.

I mean, the plural of mouse is mice but the plural of house is NOT "hice."

The plural of goose is geese but the plural of moose is NOT "meese."

That's all I have to say about that.

I just got home from a day out with my mother, and of course had to check Lori's blog immediately. It's still at 36 comments. There seem to be some glitches with that blog that make things disappear and reappear, it's happened to me several times.

Ken, I know you read here. Dave is dangerous. You know he is. Stop enabling him. Knock off the 'we're in this together' crap. And tell Lori to stop giving him a platform on her silly blog. He's been grooming her for weeks, maybe months, can't you see that? Be the 'command man' she says you are and do something about it.

Oh, wait--she's not really a submissive wife, is she? She just plays one on the Internet. :my_dodgy:

Exactly.

And you're totally right about the comments.  They've been screwy since she opened the new blog.  I still don't see Dave's comment about women being abused because they are disobedient, but it could very well be there.

It's definitely there. Next to the last comment, which is Ken's rambling reply. Sometimes I have to go back to Lori's FB page and click on the post all over again, and then the comments finally appear. Or I'll click on the general link to her blog, on the right side of her FB page, but that doesn't always work for posts made that same day.

Edited to add: I just realised, reading over this comment, that I spend way too much time on Lori's FB page. :pb_lol:

I have read that entire post and all the comments and I am absolutely appalled. There is nothing Christian about that blog. Nothing. It is harmful and dangerous and far from encouraging.

At first, I thought Ken was doing a good job arguing with Dave, but his last comment is clearly designed to soothe Dave's ego. It is disgusting. Dave is condoning abuse, he is condoning sin, he is condoning murder and all sorts of other crap and he is single-handedly giving Christianity a bad name.

Being a Christian is about LOVE. Jesus was about LOVE. A good, Christian husband would never ask his wife to sin, sure, but how many women are married to men who perhaps once were Christian but aren't any more, or perhaps have never been? I married a Christian man. He got tangled up in something which stole his faith. He became abusive, very different from the loving man I married. More than once, he asked me to sin with him. I refused; eventually my husband sorted himself out and I got back the loving, gentle, good man that I married. Why can't these people understand that not all men are good? And that abuse is NOT caused by a women's "disobedience"?

God gave us minds. He must have meant for us to use them.

@Koala bravo to you, I don't know how you can keep up with the Ken "domestic abuse is ok" Alexander and Lori "is a monster" Alexander with out going insane yourself.

Ken Alexander and Lori Alexander need to be Googled by their readers and clients to learn the true belief of these two monsters. As Koala, and many others point out, all the excuses to allow spousal and child abuse need to be exposed. Keep up the good work on exposing these two.

These two make me sick.

@KDAI was reading a previous thread and saw that you are a former sincere Lori reader who found us. I just wanted to reach out and say that I also got super messed up reading Lori. I was in a really dark mental place because of her. I poured my heart out to her in an amazon review (she blocked me a long time ago) and she called me a liar and questioned my Christianity. She did not have a shred of grace or humanity. Anyways, I just wanted to say welcome.

If you don't want to be totally disgusted, do not watch Lori's latest video. It's all about her kitchen Norwex cloth and how she uses it to clean counters, stove, microwave, and fridge, in that order. And how she apparently doesn't clean the cloth until it starts to smell... :puke-front:

It would be funny to do a drop in visit with one of those special lights that shows bacteria etc and shine it on her kitchen. It could be a whole expose series from the local news station on godly woman. Titled: Tidy or spotless? Find out here on tonight's news.

These people are worse than monsters. They are flat out evil and rank right up there with the Pearls. They are advocating abuse and misogyny. That is not what Jesus taught. He taught love, compassion, and peace....not this evil stuff.

It's so weird. On a community FB page women are mocking National Woman's Day because they don't think there is a need for it, then I come here and read this shot. ( intestingly, Most of the women mocking are sahms, likely not in the workplace for a while)

GROSS!!! I'm not exactly "environmentally friendly" when I clean my kitchen...paper towels, bleach for the cutting boards, anti-bacterial spray (Spic n Span) for counters, microwave, stove...and pine sol for the floor. I worked in food service for awhile and prefer to keep things CLEAN!!! I'm a freak about the kitchen and the bathroom(s)...the cat litter box gets scrubbed out with spic n span and wiped down with bleach water once a week. Now, behind my TV may be dusty and have cat hair...but I don't prepare food back there.

I agree,  just wanted to add that it's international. But no wonder that conservatives diss the celebration of this day, the first proposal for a day dedicated to all women came from the international meeting of socialist women and the eighth of March was chosen because

Quote

On March 8, 1917, in the capital of Russian Empire, Petrograd, a demonstration of women textile workers began, covering the whole city. This was the beginning of the Russian Revolution.[4] Seven days later, the Emperor of Russia Nicholas II abdicated and the provisional Government granted women the right to vote.[3] March 8 was declared a national holiday in the Soviet Russia in 1917. The day was predominantly celebrated by the socialist movement and communist countries until it was adopted in 1975 by the United Nations.

Anyway in my country today we use to exchange well wishes, kisses and hugs with each others. Auguri donne, auguri FJers!

ETA according to the Wikipedia excerpt I quoted Italy is a communist country since we celebrated it for the first time in 1922 and then regularly since 1946 :my_rolleyes:

@jerkit Thanks so much!

I feel really stupid now, believing what she wrote and doing my best to follow her advice to the detriment of my marriage and my mental health. I can't believe I tried so hard for so long, to follow her dangerous teachings. I sincerely hope that Dave's comments, and Ken and Lori's endorsement of his comments, scares away lots of readers.

I nearly got sucked into fundie world, not through Lori, but I did come across her.  and like you, trying to live that lifestyle was extremely damaging to my mental health.  I'm still dealing with fall-out from it, not least due to the man I married because of trying to keep to those fundie beliefs.

I know it's easy to say "don't feel stupid",but....please try not to blame yourself.  I'm not saying you won't have stuff to work through and deal with, but I found it much more helpful to think of it as "thank God I'm out of that, now I'm free to begin healing and putting things right."  Fundiedom is an abusive mindset, and it's taken me a long time to trust my own judgment again, and not feel guilty about wanting to be happy, but it is possible.  I'm very glad that you're getting away from all that now .

Do you really celebrate it like some of post-communist countries ? Is it national holiday for all people? Or like personal birthday (you still have to work)? Or more the offical like World AIDS day?

Only people from the Balkan peninsula I know plus the Czech and slovakian friends celebrate it so basically every post-communist-country-friend)  like half way between personal birthday and and a national holiday. Some work, some take the day off, but for all it is very, very dear.

For me it is like World AIDS Day: things pop on media to remind us of things we need to take action in this world and where the current status of still lingering issues is. ( Is it rude to compair them?)

anyway, Auguri!

I intellectually knew the whole time that I was being crazy for following her advice. I knew that it was anti-Christ. It was a very dark time and I've grateful I clawed my way out of it.

I don't know if its the lighting but her kitchen looks so dingy. Gross she wipes out the fridge then wipes the cabinet handles...

The fridge is a mess too, jam packed.
