Josh Duggar Part 9: Adult Film Star Lawsuits are so Godly

Anna is a grown woman, 27 years old, with four kids.  She has been part of the reality TV show for seven years.  It was her decision to make a statement.  I'm glad she did because I was thinking that she was just too ashamed to say anything  Nothing that Josh did is her fault and she should feel free to speak her mind and to live her life.  

I agree too. She been hiding from the public eye for a while now. This is her life now, she had to make a statement sooner or later. With the sex worker making a law suit, it seems like her situation will only get worse, not better. I just really hope she doesn't blame herself or try to say there were something passive like they both had" relationship problems". They didn't Josh was the one with all the issues.

Jim Bob put a framed picture of himself as a teenager on the countertop in the girls' bedroom.  I always thought that was creepy.  Have you ever seen anything like that in a teenage girl's bedroom?

This family definitely has a creepy daddy/daughter dynamic. I was never really into the show but from time to time would binge watch, and always saw them as a weird but harmless family (I knew some similar families growing up). But I remember an episode when they were living in Little Rock while miracle Josie was in the NICU, and the older girls went back home to get something and were allowed to go without any parents. I remember how different their appearance was when they weren't around daddy dearest - hair thrown into ponytails, minimal makeup, etc. - and that's when I knew there was something off about the family (and that's how I found FJ).

It's very sad that Anna has to go through all of it, and I agree Josh was the one with all the issues. Even if the relationship wasn't perfect, that would be no reason for him to abandon his faith and cheat on his wife, much less with a sex worker. 

I seem to be in the minority here, but I'm not convinced the family is placing too much blame on Anna. They seemed to stand up for Josh after the molestation scandal, but I haven't really taken any of the families statements to be standing by Josh since the porn/cheating part came out.

I would love this too, as bad as it sounds. I think JB has skeletons in his closet that may put Smugger to shame, if I'm honest.

I'm more suspicious of Michelle. It's that baby voice.

I'm suspicious of both JB and Michelle. The daddy/daughter dynamic does seem really off with JB-  the man gives me the screaming creeps just looking at him. And Michelle is obsessed with being pregnant and having babies but past a certain point seems done with them. There are women that have baby after baby but lose interest quickly and to me she fits that pathology.

But just to clarify, for @DuggarWatch the people on the ban list were specifically using the multiple accounts to be socks. The recent person I believe VR was referring to used to get around being placed on a JTTH IIRC. It's not as if they got banned for creating a new account after they forgot they had an old one/using the same IP address as a different person.

 

Back on topic, I do think the whole daddy-daughter dynamic is bizarre and almost incestuous? Like has anyone seen the videos about the purity balls? reminds me of that. In fact, during scandal 1, people were commenting on the creepy dynamic and speculating about JB's possible sexual deviancy.

I think this whole "Daddy-daughter" dynamic is fucked up in a lot of families in fundieland. It's not just the Duggars. According to fundie logic, Daddies basically have to act as a "boyfriend" to their daughter so that she doesn't feel the need to run off with a guy. Of course, not in a sexual sense, but everywhere else. I kid you not, I've read this somewhere, I'll try to find the article.

I'm not against daughters having a good relationship with their father at all. I'm very close to my own Dad. But what these fundies are doing is just sick.

Yes. Very good! I'm not much of a drinker at all. I don't like most types of alcohol. But I do enjoy a little Bailey's (just the regular stuff) in coffee. I don't have it often because to me it feels like a "holiday" drink. Now I need to pick some up for Thanksgiving, I think.

The ban list is quite a trip down memory lane.  Oooh, look.  There's Elle AKA Aria Star!  Now she's really notorious as you will find when you google her.

You can be banned for violating the TOU http://www.freejinger.org/resources/free-jinger-terms-of-use/

Most violations get you a warning first followed by incarceration in the prayer closet, or the stricter JTTH, for repeat violations.  Banning is a last resort.

Some like doxxing or threats are an immediate ban, I believe.  You can always ask an Admin.

No, and I would never expect that any teenage daughter wants a picture of her dad as a teenager on prominent display in her bedroom.  And why the hell is it a picture just of JimBob -- if they must require a parental picture in the daughters' bedroom, why isn't it a picture of both parents?  And is there a framed picture of Michelle as a teenager in the sons' bedroom?  This family is seriously screwed up and I agree that the rot starts at the top, with JimBob and his endless need for affirmation that he's not a creepy loser that can't get a girlfriend.

The least embarrassing poster I had was one of Peter Frampton.  I also had pictures of kittens.  I had a couple of photo albums with all kinds of family pictures.  But I didn't have a big framed picture of one or both my parents in my bedroom.

 

OMG, I still have a crush on Peter Frampton (and still have his albums)! I think that was when my love of long hair on guys started. His was also my first concert ever, so good memories....

I smell the spin of please feel sorry for us Godly Duggars  for our sheep (Josh) who has lost his way. See, we really are like all of you. They are now officially Kardashians. This isn't a ministry. It's famewhoring for money.

It's what the Duggars do. Pity is how they bring in the big bucks. Anna would've been expected to tell "her" story to bring in the sympathy voters. Gotta love how a show about two Duggar daughters is clearly JB's attempt to get the whole family on TV again. First in small doses, gradually ramping it up each time.

We were able to see him a few years ago, and even though he doesn't still have his hair, he definitely still had a voice!! And I agree that he is still quite attractive.

My millennial-ness is showing, but the biggest thing that comes to mind when I think of Peter Frampton is Mitch Hedberg's routine about acting in Almost Famous with him (cameo roles).
