Sounds a bit like here. Though there are plenty of people with regular hair too. But I do see the Kate-cut (my husband calls it the "Can I speak to your manager" cut) sometimes.

Now if I head north a bit...it's a bit of a time warp and stuff like that is WAY more common. I have an idea of where you may be located....haha.

I think I could pull off long hair after 50. I don't look good with short hair (mine is naturally curly), and I refuse to age into what I think of as old-lady-Easter-egg hair. I see lots of older women with short, curly blue-rinse perms. And that's a bad look for me.

She really, really does remind me of Cersei: bitchy in a fun way, but also imagines herself to be far more competent than she actually is. re: bolded - this is actually genius. i love dany but the way she is depicted on the show she has some undeniable 'white liberator come to save the natives' tendencies...like that whole "meehsa" scene where she walks through the crowd of dark-skinned people while they chant "mother"?!

From what I hear Game of Thrones is mostly blood, gore, boobs, (flaccid) penises (apparently it's noteworthy that they're flaccid), sex, rape, underage sex, incestuous sex, incestuous rape, dragons, and misery. Which millions of people seem to love with a passion, so hey, whatever floats your boat. ;)

Got it, thx. I have never been into fantasy or sci fi (although I'm half-way paying attention to all the old Dr. Who episodes my sons have recently begun watching on Netflix.).

We actually vacationed in Croatia this summer where a lot of the show is filmed. I guess the show has had an effect on their tourism numbers and every t-shirt shop there includes several Game of Thrones t-shirt options :-). Almost makes me want to try an episode or two out...

IMO it would be noteworthy if they weren't flaccid. Premium cable likes to push the envelope by showing peen from time to time, but I don't think I've ever seen an erection on film, outside of porn.

Game of Thrones the show is based on the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George RR Martin. The first season follows the first book pretty closely. It's a fantasy series, but sort of Medieval fantasy? The books are interesting because they change viewpoint/narrator every chapter. I think they did a good job with the world building and characters. The plot meanders in the 4th book, imo.

What kills me about all the makeup Jinger (and to a lesser extent, Jessa) wears is not the amount, but that she doesn't DO anything interesting with it. Makeup can be so much fun, and since she obviously spends a lot of time with it, why not go for different looks, especially with the eyes? Different eyeliner types and techniques, shadow colors, etc. But no, it's the same heavy eyeliner all around. What's the point?

But does she KNOW what she can do with it? Plus, while she's allowed to use makeup, but I think overly flashy forms of make up would be an issue in the family. I can't see the Duggars allowing their daughters to experiment with contouring or cat eyes or even fun colors/multiple colors.
