I always try to read Ken's post, but then I get bored around paragraph three or so and give up.

I got this far:

The Bible is very much a black and white book

and then became too frustrated to continue. We all know there are verses that Ken does NOT accept as "black and "white," but rather twists them to suit his own selfish purposes. He and Lori love to ignore Ephesians 5:21 - "Submit to one another" out of reverence for Christ." They claim since it is only said once it is not an important verse and, therefore, we are not to follow it.

Ken also insists Matthew 5:27 doesn't apply to him - "You have heard that it was said 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Therefore (heh), if Ken's going to be a lying hypocrite even when he writes about how strictly they live by the Bible, I'm not going to finish one of his arrogant and false posts.

Funny story... that's what brought him here in the first place. Someone suggested doing a legit Google treatment against him-- Ken Alexander of Whateverthefuck orthodontist practice is a tool, or something like that (which I know is far beyond what you were saying in this post, btw). It was pretty quickly suggested by others that it was a bad idea, but then Kenny showed up here to defend himself.

Wow, for a "black and white book" it's incredibly opaque. Do you think Ken's actually read the bible? The whole thing, not just his favorite passages? Because even with my very basic reading of it, it's absolutely full of contradictions, obtuse cultural references and borrowed bits of other mythologies.

Hahaha sign Jessa and Ben up for Lori's Godly relationships mentoring sessions. Lori would be like "OMG DUGGARS! SO GODLY, THEY WOULD LOVE ME". Jessa would tear her to pieces for pretty much everything she does. I wonder what Lori would do if that happened. Probably decide that she is evil for her lack of submission to Ben, therefore she does not have to follow her advice.

I read her book Evolving in Monkey Town (now Faith Unraveled), and it really helped me out a lot as I was transitioning out of a more conservative mindset. She's probably one of the reasons I'm still a Christian, honestly.

Absolutely. And she got a lot of flack for that in the comments. And I was a little frustrated by some of the commenters. The vast majority of them are Christian and I was like "Hey guys, we're a diverse community. And that's sort of the whole point of RHE's blog - to celebrate diverse beliefs in the greater community of Christianity. Don wurry, it's all gon b k."
