Oh. My. God. Davia's face. I can't even. She looks EXACTLY like a scary baby Priscilla.

At least the li'l guy is in a onesie now.

It looks like they forced Davia to smile, either through coercion (if you smile like a big girl, you'll get a cookie) or force (smile, or it's the plumbing line for you). Either way, her smile couldn't be less genuine if they painted it on her face. I wonder if she's already getting sister-mom training. What a depressing thought. But, yes, the squinty eyes are SO Priscilla.

Actually, I don't think so. To me it looks exactly like Priscilla's genuine full-on squinty scrunched up smile, which she has learned to tone down for pictures I'm pretty sure. Ma Keller does the same smile.

I agree.  To me it is just a cute little kid smile.  Reminds me of the ofNathan Maxwell girls before they went dead inside.

On the wtffundiefamilies Tumblr I think it was decided that Davia looks like the "WAT" lady.

Thank you very much.  This is exactly what I see....she is a little girl, and will always be cute....but all I can see is the WAT lady.

Davis is too young to perfect this, but her smile looks like the grimace I use when I don't want to smile, but want others to interpret it as a smile. In other words, the "smile" I use when I have to smile, not when I want to.

I saw this comment on the Instagram photo and thought it must be from an FJ person: sbb315It is so nice to see your family having some peaceful time at home. Enjoy!

I think Davia and Paul might actually be enjoying time with their little brother. It's all very new for them still and I am sure that they are at least a little interested in him. The dead will com in their eyes when the babies don't stop coming.

Finally! These are the type of pics you are supposed to post of your newborn! Holding him with a blanket and comfy onesie with his fake smiling toddler sister! I bet they read the nasty comments and will only post pictures like this from now on.

Crying. Dying. Tears streaming down my face.

Poor Phillip.

I agree about the play-acting but it's just so easy to make fun of them. Priscilla reminds me of the sweet, dumb Miss Rhode Island from Miss Congeniality:

Sometimes I wonder if she even knows her marriage is a sham and her husband is living a lie.

I doubt that she knows what day of the week it is unless Pecan tells her.  And I really feel sorry for the woman--she deserves to have an appreciative fundie headship instead of who she's yoked to.

Priscilla is just a walking "oh, bless her heart".

Please feel free to correct my Southern; I'm a born and bred Northerner.

I remember a few years ago there was a video with Anna and Priscilla discussing motherhood. The way that Anna looked at Priscilla as she was talking reminded me of a mother giving an encouraging look to a child with a speech impediment or debilitating shyness. It's hard to believe that Priscilla is the older sibling!

This is the one I'm thinking of.

ETA: I really think Priscilla has some kind of speech issue or learning disability. There's something going on beyond the fundie baby voice.

It's almost tragic to see how happy Anna was.

Agreed. Of course many women throughout history (and men to a lesser extent) have been totally blindsided when finally discovering the transgressions of their spouses. But with the courtship model, these young women don't have a fighting chance.

And they also have absolutely no ability to leave once they find out. Of the handful of Christian women I know who got married and became stay-at-home moms in their early 20s, most would be pretty screwed financially upon divorce. But all of them have either degrees of some sort and/or a few years of work experience before baby #1. It would be hard to be on their own, but not completely impossible. These women would have trouble getting a part-time retail job.

She really loved her live at that point. Being a wife and mother.  I honestly don't think she ever thought Josh would betray her the way he did.

I think Priscilla definitely has something going on...what I don't think we will ever know. She would be what we call "innocent" no diagnosis just not really with the world.

Was your hospital "baby friendly?" If it is and bass a nursery, it seems to go against what the previous poster said about the baby friendly hospital she works at.

And the window with all the babies in the nursery isn't really a thing that I've seen. Sure it's still in movies, but most new moms have their baby with them all day long In hospitals with a nursery. I sent mine down for a few hours at night but had him with me the rest of the time.

When I hear of hospitals getting rid of nurseries and calling themselves "baby friendly" the jaded side of me thinks they are just trying to save money and aren't thinking of the best interest of the new moms.

It is baby friendly. The nursery isn't what you would think of a TV show nursery. It defiantly was at one point. Now it's literally just a large room that has glass walls. They do all the well baby check ups in there, so basically anyone walking by could watch. There are what looks like doctor's office rooms behind it, that has doors that close and walls. I never saw anyone in there except for people doing paper work. They thought our youngest might need surgery, and the specialist came and did her exam in that open glass room.

That hospital also discharges you 24 hours after birth for an uncomplicated vaginal delivery. I had c-sections, so I was there for a while. Both boys stayed with me at all times except for when they did the weighing and check up, but they were only gone for no longer than 20 minutes. My husband stayed all days both times too. Both times he would leave for a couple of hours every day to go home and shower, feed the cat, and bring me back something if I wanted it. My mom stayed with our oldest the second time, and my husband would go during his nap time so he wouldn't be upset with Daddy leaving.

He's pretty flipping cute! Philip is definitely a more normal name. So I guess they are doing P for the boys and D for the girls. That's different.

That kinda makes sense, since those are the opposite of their initials. Priscilla being the girl and David being the "boy." ;)

DavidLovesPriscilla18-768x512.jpgDavidLovesPriscilla14-768x512.jpgOMG, those are THE WORST baby pictures I've ever seen! Those creative poses are best left to professional photographers. The pics in the truck are completely cringeworthy, but the ones where he's face down on the fake fur are uncomfortable to look at!  The pics on the tree stump make me uncomfortable, too. Ugh, that poor baby. He looks truly tortured. Babies that young just want to curl up and sleep, like they did in the womb, not be posed in things around the house and yard. What the hell were they thinking??

Total Pintrest fail photos. :/

Just catching up on threads after being away for a bit.  So, Pris had her baby and he's a cute little guy.  Too bad he's already being put thru the paces of posing for PT's videos and don't get me started on the pictures.   The one with Phillip in the wagon is all kinds of awful between the clothing (who the hell puts a newborn in shirt and khakis not to mention a pullover vest too?) and being balanced on a toy truck.  Just no.

I just showed Mr. No the truck pic.  His comments:  "Shouldn't his head be supported?" and "They have to make him a manly man".
