Remember Emily and Dna?

   This made me laugh so hard I had to put my head on the table for a minute.

This is why I have such fond memories of her blog's heyday - somehow everyone gets inspired by genius.

My daughter's summer camp is expanding and adding a teen village. Instead of cabins, the teens will be housed in yurts. I immediately thought of Em when I heard about the yurts.

Small houses, houses on wheels, handmade houses and yurts are rather common here behind the Green Curtain. Most are utilized by hippies. I hear that middle aged hipsters are now starting to use small houses for resort living and lowering the cost of a second home in some areas.

I live small already, max. 600 ft. Another 100sq. in living space would be perfect. I'm pared down as much as I would like to be right now.

Damn! Every single time I see this thread I get super excited thinking there are updates! My luck, I'll get so jaded that I'll stop clicking on it and actually miss a huge announcement!

I like falling asleep to radio, unfortunately the only station I get at night in the bedroom is C2C. I used to listen to KGO before the bloodbaths and firings of 2011. So now I learn about underground government installations, UFOs, bar coding of humans, and all kinds of aberrant mindsets.

I loved KGO back in the day, even including Bernie Ward until he got convicted for kiddie porn. He ran a Sunday morning show called The God Show which was great. He enjoyed calling out the fundies.

I listened to C2C twice, once it was about tracking a UFO cruising from Arizona to Northern Ca. The second one he was interviewing someone who said well, that happened after I died for the first time. That show gave me nightmares.

It's hours of entertainment, trust me.

That's what I am afraid of! I've been reading this site nonstop for days...now I am on a 53 page thread about these people and it's PART 1????

Before the God Show was God Talk, it was originally on Sun evenings. Then moved up to the mornings. Bernie was a big disappointment to say the least. The blood bath a total shock. I miss Ray Taliaferro's show. He really ranted at the fundies and tighty righties. His poetry nights were the best.

I just love the hollow earth theorists on C2C and the extra terrestrial visits along with the mediums, channelers and remote viewers. Initially it bothered me that it was more fringe than I remembered it to be. But now it's just 20 minutes of cray cray before I doze off.

Experiencedd, that show sounds great. We don't get it here (our radio is usually pretty boring) but I have a similar thing which everyone thinks is weird. I love magazines like "It's Fate" "Fate and Fortune" and "Spirit and Destiny" all about psychic stuff.

Needless to say I believe absolutely none of it but it is utterly fascinating to see what other people believe in - past lives, crystal healing, Wiccan rituals to find a man or get more money, lucky and unlucky birds or cats, angels and spirit guides...I'm sure it must tell us something about who we are as a society although I'm not sure what. We're all fucked up?

Some of the stories are quite touching, others are sweet, and some are, well, bizarre. My favourite ever was the magazine which had a talking psychic dog that communicated with "spirit" (why is this word never a plural?). Someone wrote in and asked this talking psychic dog the following:

"My union has called us out on strike. I'd like Benny The Talking Dog to ask spirit whether going out on strike is the right thing to do."

I laughed. I cried. I realised Britain is a country where we consider it acceptable to ask talking psychic border collies their opinions on industrial relations. Then I cried even more.

I hate it when this thread gets bumped - such a tease! I miss Emily's insanity.

THIS. It gets me every time. Although I did get to find out about a new source of crazy (C2C- awesome!) which sort of makes up for the false hope that I might be able to read more about the wacky adventures of Brad and Therese!

Quit being a tease, everytime I see this posting I think that she is back with a new brand of crazy. Then my heart is broken again when there is not anything new. I wonder how Brad is? Does he still hang in the bathroom? DNA still working at Walmart? By now the oldest one should be in school does she do SRTDRT or is he going to public school. I miss her

Last night the show was about werewolves. I swear there is this woman who has written about 5 books about her experience with werewolves. It was hard to get to sleep last night 'cause I found it so funny I was doing an LoL. And in the back of my mind "Werewolves of London" was the soundtrack.

Emily and DNA were what sucked me into FJ. I knew about it from TWOP and Razing Ruth (<- which I also learned about from lurking on the 19K&C page on TWOP) but it was Under1000 that really got me. If I remember correctly, there are 5 threads dedicated to them -- five being that they were so long, like the Josh Duggar instagram thread, that it had to be continued.

Brad needs to start a blog... 1000wtfBatShitCrazyDNA&EMILYstories. I miss them so much  They led me to FJ from a very respectable and popular personal finance blog. I was immediately hooked on both Em and FJ as were many of us here.

I know, it's such a tease. I came to FJ right after she flounced, but I often fantasize about snarking on her in real time ...
