AYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — On the first morning of the second week of Josh Duggar’s child pornography trial in Fayetteville, Arkansas a close family friend that has known the Duggars since before Josh was born took the stand for the prosecution.

Fighting back tears, Bobye Holt testified about a 2003 conversation in which Duggar confessed to molesting multiple minor girls.

Sometimes pausing to gather herself to speak, Holt described in detail how Duggar had told both sets of parents about touching girls, some as much as ten years younger than him, in their “private areas,” under their “pantaloons and underwear.”

 

Before Holt took the stand, her husband, Jim Holt, was called. He detailed a conversation he was a part of in 2010 involving Duggar and another witness.

 

During that conversation, Duggar asked about how to install a Linux partition on a computer.

The prosecution rests, and the defense has begun calling their witnesses, beginning with an Arizona-based digital forensics expert.

Although he may be testifying as a second opinion with regard to whether Josh did indeed have the knowhow to get around Covenant Eyes. Weird.

On Reddit they are saying there have been four witnesses (including the Holts) so that would be Clint, the Holts, and who was #4?  They are quoting a source on TikTok but I do not know how to TikTok so can not research this on my own - sorry.  

They are also saying Jed! Is not in the courtroom so he must still be reserved as a witness.

There is some speculation that the Prosecution is holding Jill and Jed! in the wings as rebuttal witnesses againt the Defense but now I'm really out of my Not-A-Lawyer Depth. Just sharing, because this feels like an early rest for the amount of evidence they have. 

Secondly, Jed! and Jer are twins. Is it possible the Sun just can't tell them apart? This seems most likely unless Jer is known to be somewhere else. Even if Jed doesn't testify, I think it would odd that he'd be suddenly allowed in Court and ripped off the witness list entirely. (I don't think they're very identical, but I only think that when I see photos of them together -- it's a different story if you just showed me one Duggar boy and asked which one it was, especially with masks and fast reporting.)

Edit: I do think it's possible Jed! is in a witness sequestration room but it seems equally possible that Jer could show up for Twin Support and the Sun just can't tell which is which.

Show me any Duggar boy younger than Josiah and I only sort of vaguely know which one they are

Fraternal twins show no more resemblance than any other siblings, but all of those howlers look alike to me.  Michelle seemed to only have one setting for boys.

God, in the early specials they look really freakin' identical I kind of thought they were identical twins. I assumed their small differences now were mostly hair and facial hair. Like, one of them has curlier hair kind of but that's a sort of little thing you could see in some sets of identical twins. In some newer photos of them, I think, "That's the same man." and in other newer photos I don't. Very bizarre Duggar trait, that is. 

Edit: Has age been the only thing allowing us to differentiate the Duggar boys this whole time?!?!?

Sounds like they've totally knocked down the "he's too dumb to have done this" defense, IMO. It was pretty flimsy to begin with.

Sorry dude. I've been a Mac user basically exclusively for like 20 years and I can still use a PC just fine when I need to. Just gotta remember the ALT and CTRL/CMD keys are switched around on the keyboard. They're not THAT different!

Interestingly though - the two boy twins seem to look the least alike of all the Duggar boys to me.

THIS!  For decades I used a Mac professionally and yet came home every night and was just as proficient with my PC.  There is really not much difference.  I could do basic trouble shooting and coding with both, and I guarantee my level of computer knowledge is mich less than Smuggar's based on just what I saw him accomplish in the early days of the TV show.

This.  Clearly McCandless wrote a quick article and did a quick tweet during the break and then rushed back into the courtroom.  The Sun clearly has two or more people working on this, so someone was in the courtroom and taking notes.  Now someone else has those notes and is posted them bullet point style with a little elaboration, while I'm sure one reporter is back in the courtroom listening to the new testimony and creating the next set of notes.

I'm also partially face-blind. Not enough to be diagnosable but enough that I once had an hour long lunch with somebody who, as far as I was concerned, was a stranger but plot twist it was my friend but now without a mustache. You're probably asking, "Why would you go to lunch with somebody you didn't identify?" and the answer was, "I knew I should have been able to, and it was a college dining hall, and I was hoping somebody else in the dining hall would talk to him and call him his name so I could figure out this mystery."

I once had twins in my class and it took me a semester to notice. (They were on rotating groups from TA to TA and we only saw them once a week, but I genuinely thought it was just one very talkative student.) 

Once a student talked me to outside of class and that was a real "fake it til this bus gets to your stop" situation.

I mean compared to friday afternoon which was not all that detailed, it was one witness all afternoon
