I know this isn't surprising, but travelling during Covid when there is no reason he can't do a press conference where he is is so selfish and wrong.  

I don't feel sorry for his staff who are with him by choice and help him with his machinations, but I do feel very bad for all the people who have to work for/around him who are doing non-political jobs like housekeeping, IT, secret service, and such as they are being exposed to so much risk just trying to do their jobs.

I really want to call in today.  Someone make me get up and shower.

 

GA is counting about 3k votes per hour (per the BBC.)  What the heck?  Why don't they have shifts of temps working on this?  There are still 50k yet to go, this is going to take forever.

Come on GA - hire a project manager who knows how to staff appropriately.

Oh and Biden's popular vote overall has already far surpassed Hilary's last night and she didn't get her whole ~3 mil until later when all mail in vote counts trickled in in following days.

Biden has a clearer path to 306 than Trump has to 270.

Fwiw I'm glad you (and everyone else in this thread) are stressing here so we can do it together.

Not to get all sappy but you guys are getting me through this, I have no one irl who is obsessing to this degree and I'd be going crazy if we weren't all slogging through this together.

RNC is now saying Trump will likely run in 2024 if he loses.  Not worrying about it now, but if it happens we'll need a Watergate style burglary to steal his drugs, show lifts, bronzer, and bobby pins.  Without those he won't be able to leave his bunker.

I've been away from here for a few days - I've been stress-cleaning and organizing in my house and trying to avoid the news as much as possible.

I am so, so disappointed in our country. I thought we were better than this. 

I know Biden is going to win the popular vote. I know it's going to come down to the courts. I'm holding out hope Biden is able to eke out the win despite Trump's shenanigans.

But I'm disappointed it was so close. I didn't realize so many people were so deeply deluded.

I HOPE they're deluded. Because if they're not, they're stupid and mean and selfish, and that's now how the US is supposed to be.

At this point, all the talking heads seem to indicate that no court currently has a reason to intervene into any state’s voter counting process.

I’m fully expecting either him or Ivanka to run in 2024. He may not be here in four years because of high blood pressure from spending all of Biden’s presidency apoplectic, but I won’t be surprised when Ivanka runs.

When I was very little I was shy, so I'd pull my dress over my head and cover my face because if you couldn't see me I couldn't see you.

Trump is doing a version of that.  Difference is I grew out of it as a toddler and he still thinks it works.

I don’t like what I’m seeing in AZ. What has happened that the talking heads are all of a sudden talking about Trump overtaking Biden? Something feels off. How is southern AZ, home of Tucson, all of a sudden breaking for Trump at greater than 60%?

After this election is done and 45 hopefully escorted out of the WH, I expect nothing less than a full criminal investigation into Trump and his family. This way he and his daughter are unable to run again.

You are forgetting the SDNY... they are gearing up to prosecute his ass. Plus, I don't think the Dems will just leave it and not hold him accountable at all. No, dude is going down. 

Also, I believe his main reason for announcing a run in 2024 is a desperate attempt to appease whoever is holding is ginormous debt... please don't call it in, look , I'll get the presidency back, I promise!

It’s very easy to announce now that you are going to run again in 4 years but I think he overestimates the attention span of his base.

If he is not president he will no longer be covered 24/7 by the media. Who is going to pay for the rallies ? He will be seen as a has-been and the lack of attention will cause more deranged tweeting and appearances. All of this is assuming he stays out of jail.
