I don’t even know what to say about this monster. So please say it for me.

Ezra and Simon are not dumb. They know what keeps mama happy and out of their way, and they do it.

Do we need a Braggie summary? Here's a lazy one.

Abbie a.k.a Braggie lives in rural Texas with her husband Shaun and 10 kids Ezra, Simon, Della, Evy, Nola, Theo, Honor, Shiloh, Titus, and Toby. Evy and Nola are twins as are Titus and Toby.

Things Braggie loves: Pinterest, Anthropologie, building awful fire trap McMansions, excruciatingly long and pointless instagram / blog posts, being a martyr, and of course humble bragging.

Things Braggie hates: having kids, being a mother, being pregnant, LGBTQ+ people, and people in general.

You may be thinking, why would someone like this have 10 kids?

See -> Likes: being a martyr.

I’m pretty positive I would have been an Ezra if I had a mother like that. I hate when people are freaking out or upset in my family or friends group. So I’m sure I would have placated a mother like Braggie as a teenager. However I would have been extremely unhappy feeling like I had to raise my younger siblings due to all the added stress on top of being a teen.

Nice summary! I'll add a bit of critical info:

Abbie has untreated mental illness. This isn't an armchair diagnosis, she's mentioned her issues in the past and the answer of course is Jesus, not therapy.

Pre-pandemic, Shaun traveled for business and spent the majority if his time away from home leaving Abbie alone to care for the then 8 children. He makes a prolonged visit home before each birth.

Abbie's mother is an enabler who picks up her slack. She's in her 70's and is often filling in for Abbie at the homeschool co-op and babysitting all the children so Abbie and Shaun can go on vacation alone.

More things Abbie loves: exercise, Jesus, her nasty unwashed hair, and trying to be a hip crunchy mama.

The above list of hates cracks me up. Perfection! I have nothing to add.

That's one hell of a long conversation Shaun had with that janitor. Impressive how he managed to get the complete life story when he doesn't speak much Spanish and the janitor doesn't speak much English!

I meant to add - that is one nasty looking Tom & Jerry contraption the kid is 'riding,' I don't think I would have let my kids touch it, lol.

Where does Shaun go? Anyone else suspect  he has a 2nd family?

Nah. Apparently he doesn’t like kids any more than she does.

With 2 kids, and no wallpaper on the appliances.

I read over here but don't comment very often.  I just have trouble looking at her Instagram because of her hair.  Honestly, it skeeves me out.  I hate having dirty hair and hers is just nasty.

She has a ton of flyaways. I think that’s often the biggest issue when she doesn’t wash her hair for a week. It’s just messy in a dirty way. Not a cute way.

Can you elaborate on this? I don't have social media accounts so I can't see anything except her regular posts.

My personal unfounded speculation is that Shaun does far more travel than necessary just to get away from the madhouse.

My personal BEC-moment for today:
Braggie likes the idea of the white, american, evangelical Jesus. The "real" one - a dark skinned guy from the middleeast with revolutionary ideas would probably freak her out.

As someone who lives in a country where the socialist party has never been in a governing position and yet where Biden would still be on the far right spectrum economically speaking, I absolutely do not understand how these ignorant, mysoginistic racists think that a vote for anyone other than Trump will result in socialism?
What kind of mental gymnastics do they perform to come to these kind of absolutely absurd conclusions???

I doubt they actually know what socialism is. Their “news” source of choice tells them that Biden is a socialist and that socialism is bad. It’s like communism you know ?

No mental exercise required what so ever.

So... wait. She's proud of the US for welcoming those huddled masses yearning to be free AND FED, and mentions women's right to vote and civil rights as positive things - yet votes for someone running on a platform of closing our borders to those huddled masses and building a wall to keep them out, while openly being as disrespectful as possible to women and trying to push civil rights back by 70 years?

She's proud that we're still a democratic republic while voting for someone openly ignoring the constitution and stating as clearly as possible (without using those exact words) that he intends to be king or dictator if he gets his way? Who openly praises and sucks up to existing dictators?

I don't get her. I don't get Trump voters.

Ugh.

Today Abbie tells us about what makes her happy. No surprise, the list doesn't include any children that aren't totally helpless newborns. "Tapping out words of encouragement for fellow mamas on my phone" makes the list which is surprising because according to Abbie, she spends 1% of her day doing it.

Abbie posted three pics that are almost exactly the same. Her in that the ugly box of a top and those poor drab babies wrapped in matching mud colored blankets. I picked this shot because it gave the best look at the absolutely tragic door wreaths.

She tells us all the things that make her happy/ the happiest, and other than holding babies, children are not mentioned. And in the next sentence she mentions how she’s writing (shilling) a book on MOTHERHOOD. She can’t miss the irony, can she? She never seemed lacking in intellect, but man. Doesn’t she re-read the things she writes before hitting send?
