Probably not, until he is walking.

We'd prefer to keep his internet presence as small as possible so that when he is old enough to make decisions for himself his whole life story and everyday isn't plastered all over the place.

Well, good for you!  I approve.

All the best for you all.

Re Scottish names- Rory is a favourite and you can use Gaelic spelling for maximum Celtic impact!

Yes, Rory was already on my list above - Ruairidh.  A lifetime of correcting the spelling of his name for the little guy if they go with the Gaelic spelling though.  I hope they choose something easier for Baby E.

I've got it!  How about we dub the little guy Brigriel here.  It sounds almost Tolkienesque. :)

I vote for Bruce! Starts with the same letters as Brigid, one syllable ending in silent E like Gabe, and more than a little kilt-appropriate.

Brigriel, he shall be! :)

Yes @Palimpsest - for some reason I missed Rory/Ruairidh when I first read your post!

As the proud holder of a hard to pronounce and difficult to spell name I welcome others to join the ranks:5624798bb4464_Nana-nana-nana-bananapuddingP:

I so hope they do a kilt picture, I mean why wouldn't there be a kilt given his daddy likes them? A kilt with a matching diapercover perhaps. I think Alasdair would suit him. Not my choice for a name but it would work on him.

Remember that even his Grandpa Boyer has been known to don a kilt.  It's a family tradition!

@SolomonFundy I don't think that taking baby pictures with your new nephew is a secret coded message of maternality (I know, it's not a real word).  That's how you hold babies, and I think it would be stranger if they didn't mention/post pics of the little guy.  I mean, their brand is based on social media coverage of their lives.

:laughing-jumpingpurple: As the holder of a name that is as common as mud in the UK but that most Americans either spell wrong or pronounce wrong, I go in the opposite direction.  I try to persuade new parents to call their children names like Jane and John.  Although I suppose those could be spelled Jayne and Jon ...

@Palimpsest my cousins Siobhan, Medbh, Fionn, Diarmaid and Niamh all feel your pain.  My parents avoided the "Northern Irish Proud Nationalist" names for me, thankfully.

My English sister in law also has a name that is very common in England, but for some reason, in rural western Canada, gets butchered in the spelling.

Great names! Are they in Canada?

I remember being surprised to discover that Gillian as a spelling was almost unknown in America. My American friend with that spelling said her name was almost pronounced gillian(like on a fish) instead of JillIan. Whereas it's more common over here to see the G spelling rather than the J I think.

@acheronbeach It's a good word! Just to be clear, I don't think that all folks who post pictures of themselves with new babies are trying for anything other than a happy remembrance of the moment. But in most of those cases, they don't post it to social media without the actual child shown. With Jessica and Charlotte, we basically got two soft-focus pictures of them staring adoringly at a folded blanket, which struck me as posturing.

Siobhan was in Canada for a while but she was in Newfoundland so it wasn't too bad.  Niamh, unfortunately, lives in Western Canada, where her name is consistently butchered in pronunciation and spelling.  The others are mostly in Belfast so they're fine.

My sister in law's name is Gillian, she was born in Scotland and insists it's Gilian with a hard G.

I've said this before in other threads but I have an unusual spelling of an uncommon name and have to spell it for people constantly.  And convince them I'm actually female.

It makes me think of the British TV show Catastrophe, where the Irish female lead names her daughter "Muireann" and then is upset that her American husband can't pronounce it correctly.

Charlotte just posted a really depressing call out for snake oil customers on the Boyer Sisters blog.

Things haven’t gone to plan - hardly any customers and their hard work not reaching people. The MLM model is doing its intended work by sucking them dry with hazy promises of success.

Other people are making it to Diamond status- so it’s possible, right?!

But she comforts herself by saying its all God’s doing - and that He will bring success if she just keeps trying.

It seems like she can’t swallow her pride and recognise the business is a failure - cut your losses and run! Those MLMs are designed to separate you from your money in any way possible.

That's truly depressing. I mean logically that the lives of most people involved in MLMs, it's not easy. They should really try something different.

We know you read here so please take what I say into consideration Charlotte and Jessica:

MLMs are set up to fail. You can work your tail off and still barely break even. You could be buying a lottery ticket every single day since this Oily Journey started and have more money in your pocket now while not winning a single lottery. People say all the time, "someone has to win the lottery. Maybe it will be me." That is the exact same attitude you have going into this MLM. Do you even know how many people make good money with MLMs? Especially those that got into the business late? People are oiled out! There are so many ways to get essential old these days! Why would anyone in a saturated market be interested in buying your oils?

Cut your losses now. Leave the casino before you lose even more money. This isn't about god. This is about statistics. And statistics say you won't make much money with this no matter how hard you work.

This. X1000.

@Gabe and Brigid, please also take note.   Jessica and Charlotte need to focus on their real talents and skills and get away from wasting time on the scam.

I will also add that it’s not really failure, Jessica and Charlotte, I’m speaking to you directly- if you learn something from this experience.

You were late to the essential oil party - the odds are stacked against your success in every way. I don’t doubt that YL taunts you with news of other people’s supposed success - that’s just a dangling carrot to keep you motivated even though they know you won’t succeed. It’s a cruel scam.

You could quietly and elegantly shut up shop - cease the spam about YL and find something else to do.

Are you too proud to recognize defeat?

This bit is interesting:

No, we aren’t perfect. No, MLM’s aren’t easy. No, we are not walking an easy path.

Wait a tiny moment here.  Jessica and Charlotte have stated several times that Young Living is NOT an MLM.  It is also not a "starter business."  It is glomming on to an MLM - and most people fail at that.

Quote

Why? Because we are helping people who need us.

Sez who?  Such arrogance you ignorant little chits.  You can't help it.  You don't know how ignorant and badly educated you sound.

No, you are not helping people by falling for an MLM scam and regurgitating the propaganda onto your followers.  Apparently they agree with me because they have either heard it all before or have noticed how scrambled your MLM presentations sound.

Quote

He will bring the viewers & new members. He will make the seeds Jessica and I plant to grow & flourish. Because that’s what we are. We’re seed planters. We give you, our audience; you that amazing person sitting on the other side of the screen… we give you our hearts.

"He" should be advising people to run a mile from spending money on your MLM.

I'm an amazing person who wants to tell you the truth.  Run away from Young Living!  Far, far, away.  Before you waste any more of your money and lose friends and acquaintances.

You can keep your hearts.  I don't need or want them.

Quote

To all of you who have joined the B.Well Team, and put faith in Jessica and I: thank you.

Oh, Charlotte.  I'm tired of the grammar lessons.  One of these days the Boyer sisters will get the usage of "I" and "me" right.  This was not one of those times.

They could spend their time and energy on a real job, which will actually pay them. That won't feel like a failure, it will feel really good! I swear!

And most jobs don't have too many start up costs. Besides a uniform maybe. I would love to know if they've even broke even yet. Charlotte says she isn't looking at the numbers. That's because she's in denial.

So God's going to reel in more poor suckers to lose money on snake oil because those two twits are seed planters? Their God sounds like an awfully slimy character. Guess if I earnestly start a godly crack business and pray hard he'll help me get more people addicted. Praise Jesus!

No-one needs your snake oil. No-one needs you two peddling it. If it was that important people would either be able to source it themselves with the abundance of information on the internet about it or it would require more than two poorly educated sellers who've learnt a little in a brief period of time with a financial interest in this nonsense to help. The pride is astounding (and I think God had more to say about that than magic potions).
