More whatthefuckery from Ken:

There may be some teens that deserve a good beating with a rod, but our society and laws do not allow it. Singapore does allow young men to be caned and with great success.

In response to the quote @Koala posted (can't get it to quote properly):

Ken Alexander, the orthodontics consultant from California, thinks incest, molestation, and corporal punishment against teenagers is totally normal.

I don't care about Ken, but remember, you're saying these things about his daughter, too. None of these things are remotely indicative of incest — especially #3. Like, what?

What was successful about caning young men? He sure likes the idea of beating people. It's ironic how much he is into the eye for an eye thing.

I think this one deserves it's own topic as well.   Carry on :)

"With great success." How does he define "great success" when it comes to caning?

On second thought, not sure I really want to know. :pb_confused:

People can and do die from injuries resulting from caning in Singapore and other such countries. They sustain massive injuries. I don't think he really understands what state-sponsored caning as punishment really is.

Let's see if he still calls it a "good beating" when he's on the receiving end.

This is interesting, because yesterday I listened to Weird Al's "Headline News" which mentions the American who was caned in Singapore for vandalism.  And I remember a LOT of Americans saying "We should totally do that here!"  And I'm sure they wouldn't care about the severe injuries, because hey, they should've thought about that before they broke the law. :pb_rollseyes:

No, Ken isn't interested in being on the receiving end of "discipline".  He wants to be the one dishing it out...

Maybe it's me, but somehow that's worse. I'm still catching up on this particular flavor of crazy, so I'm not sure if he's a sadist or is like the strange guys who contacted me during my (very brief) foray into Christian Mingle and had strange ideas about Spanking for Jesus [tm].

Oh I agree completely.  Much worse.  Ken's spanking fetish is widely displayed on the blog and I have no problem with it if it's between two equal consenting adult partners.  But Ken obviously goes beyond these boundaries.

There are a lot of things Singapore does that I think the rest of the world should consider (though with massive grain of salt because what works for a tiny, extremely wealthy city-state with a highly educated populace and a pretty much de facto one party government very well might not work for countries in different geographic, demographic, and political circumstances), but as someone who has a lot of Singaporean friends, I can tell you that many Singaporeans, especially the young, educated, left-leaning crowd I tend to roll with, think that the Singaporean government is overly draconian and doesn't really pay attention to people's rights. I think things will change very soon in Singapore, and even if that change doesn't happen quickly, Singapore is no utopia.

Caning is not for kids. Caning is for kinky sex stuff. Really kinky sex stuff. It can cause serious injuries, compared to a paddle.

If you have to filter out the porn searches when looking up your preferred method of discipline, you should re-evaluate what you are doing to your kids.

So, Ken Alexander the Orthodontic consultant from California, believes incest and sexual molestation are normal. AND he wants to give teenagers a "good beating". Ken Alexander from California is condoning beatings. Not just spanking, but beatings with canes. Where is he going to measure the results of Singapore canings?

Ken and Lori Alexander are fucking monsters.

I remember the Michael Fay case and the Weird Al song that featured it. I was like 9 or 10 when that happened and I remember some news show for kids(maybe it was on Nickelodeon)  talked about it and I remember they did on the street interviews with Americans and one man said that Fay should have punished in other ways but not with caning.

<snip>

It's the literal act of spanking (though can it really be called spanking at that point?) someone with a cane. Some do it for pleasure, some want to do it for discipline. As far as Ken Alexander, the orthodontics consultant from California? My money's on that he wants to have the pleasure of disciplining someone.

And you can get seriously injured. Deep bruising, broken skin (which can get infected). Blood drawn. Caning in countries that use it as capital punishment can result in death. Beware of googling unless you have a strong stomach.

He reminds me of the father of the Stanford rapist, Brock Turner. Someone should give Ken 20 minutes of caning action, see how he thinks about it after. Fucker.

Not that I'm suggesting violence, of course, but one word fits (in both Ken & Brock's case): Karma.

Ken and Lori were once presented with a mother who admitted to caning her child. Lori's advice to her was that if she hit hard enough, it would work.  When we called her on it, Ken said that "we knew she was not an abusive mother".  Caning seems to be a pet topic for him.

Here are portions of the exchange:

I had one that would never give in to anything, regardless of punishment, spanking did nothing but make her worse, time outs where a joke, finally I picked her up and threw her under a cold shower

Lori Alexander:

A spanking will work if it is hard enough

Not with her, we tried hand, and although I was against it belt, wooden spoon, cane everything she would just keep going, I stopped after I thought I broke her arm...

When Ken Alexander came to FJ he was confronted with those exact quotes.  The following is his response:

Quote

Listen I get the issue that we need to protect against abuse, but you know full well this was not an abusive mother.
