Was that clip of Jill and Derrick old? A quick google search shows a Mama Carmen's orphanage in Guatemala.

it was old - it was in the new series

when Derick gave one page at a time

Jill is not in this show at all - call a spade a spade - it's 19 kids and Jessa

I really hate Anna and that scene at coffee was horrid

How many times is Blessa gonna stare at Bin while he awkwardly avoids looking at her/kissing her. Like I know their chemistry is gone and he halfway out the door mentally, but wow.

Alrighty….cut to the wimmenfolk out for coffee. Every business they go to have a Christian connection “tacos4life” and a coffee place that supports an orphanage. “Mama Carmen’s orphanage”

Anna asks Jessa if it feels like she left a part of her at home.  Anna just said she should “check all his social media accounts”….um projection much?

Ben now changing a diaper…he survived. They did “rocking chair time”

Back at the coffee shop, they are still there with a flippin baby. Meredith has a head band with not one, but two giant flowers! Because Girl!

Now we hear what a prodigy Spurgeon is…Actually Anna just gave good advice: listen to other moms, but be the mom you are because it’s your child.

Jesse gets home and seems surprised that the spurge is still alive

Why does Israel--a perfectly good name if not for the obvious political bullshit Derrick and Jill invoked with it--get called Izzy, but Spurgeon gets called by his godawful full name? Ben/Jessa, stop trying to make Spurgeon happen. It's never going to happen!

oh Anna. Saying her husbands not available to babysit...any chance to bring up Josh

What exactly is Josh so busy with that he can't relieve Anna (I refuse to say "babysit") for a few hours so she can go have a kid-free cup of coffee? He's not working as far as I know. Was there a really important porno on or something?

Commercials: The Jungle Book, Dutch Glow Amish Cleaning Tonic, 3 TLC Promos....hey! We all got the same thing! Omaha here

And how awkward Jana must've been with the two moms (Jessa & Anna) talking about their kids

Yes, by all means let the teething child chew on something with an electric cable so close to his mouth >.< And record it!

Yes.  They were there in November.

so if TLC really wanted to make this a decent episode, they should have suggested that Bin BABYSIT Meredith!

He was still at RU at this point, so he was obviously otherwise occupied.

This was filmed before he got back from Jesus Camp.

Unrelated but did a small cat die on Derick's face? Do they not have razors in Central America? God knows he isn't not shaving because he is so busy, he preaches twice a week he can shave the other five. I guess now that he has Jill he doesn't have to keep up appearances, even though she said she didn't like a full beard.

Ah okay, thanks. I can't bring myself to watch the show, so I was off on the timeline.

I'm starting to think that all the Duggar guys are tools.

and JD is definitely 6 months pregnant.

That was super awkward. However (un)affectionate they might be in private, they cameras were right there. Why wouldn't he expect to kiss Jessa as soon as she got home? If they could plan for the camera to be at the door when Jessa walked through--and that probably took a few takes--why not plan a "sweet" welcome back kiss?

Huh, is it just me or is Jill really playing the submissive wife role now? Staring adoringly at Derrick while he speaks, looking at him while she speaks as if...I don't even know. Looking for approval? She's not interrupting and hogging the camera anymore.

Yes Jill's gotten real quiet. I wonder if married missionary submissive life isn't suiting her as much as she expected? Maybe she's trying to surpress the louder parts of her personality to try to be more of a "godly woman"? It's a definite change.

It explains everything don't you think - the whole Jessa dynamic is just so backward and off.  Even in the whole coffee scene - she is so full of herself and just so boring

They as a couple are just weird all of a sudden.  They are off

Ben is a tool because he is a horrible actor.

And now its “Central America” time……….

Izzy already has a love of football, according to Jill. Derick is starting to get the hollow eyed look of a cult leader.

And the baby is now gumming a fan…parenting fail guys.  Izzy can clap and smile, and pull up. In other words, a normal baby. I may keel over from boredom.  Cute kif though.

And now, the great pickle tasting. Apparently all Duggars, including the grandkids, must like pickles.

Jana now pitches the treehouse idea, now Joe wants to drop utility pools and build a playhouse on a platform.  Now they are talking “skid scear” and excavator, and gravel….Jana is unconvinced, but is keeping sweet and talking about “sibling time”

I'm inclined to think the change is due to public perception more than anything else, but I like to imagine Derrick finally getting annoyed enough to say, "JUST LET ME TALK!"

I'm running a few minutes behind, but I have to admit that Bin actually cared for Spurge in a way that indicates that he's pretty comfortable with the baby--until he put him on the couch with a blanket over him.
