Bates Family Part 5

The Bates Family sure does a lot of traveling. They are back in NC visitng Gil's family.

Correct me if I am wrong, but so far this month Gil and Kelly have been to Chicago, New York City, and NC. That's a lot of traveling to me.

Addee looks a lot like her cousin. Photo is lower bottom corner.

A new Instagram post from Alyssa is up. She is covering her stomach with Allie. Alyssa really likes gift bags. I cannot blame her. It's so much easier than wrapping; I am not a good gift paper wrapper.

Fans are even commenting on her Instagram that she is pregnant.

This is what reality television does to a family and why I think that Gil and Kelly's kid would have turned our a lot like the Duggar kids if they had been famous longer.

What made me suspect that she is pregnant again was when she posted that car picture from when Carlin was visiting them. She just looked the same as she did when she got pregnant with Allie - I knew straight away with that, too. She's pregnant right now, no doubt about it. I'd say she may be around 15-16 weeks, maybe?

Same as Whitney. She's pregnant, too.

Don't think she's as far as Alyssa... But she's pregnant.

I am assuming there will be an announcement for both either just before the premiere of season 3, or during.

Michael? Not sure. Her posting pictures showing how slim she looks doesn't mean she isn't. She could be, and be very early, or she could be suffering with morning sickness and have dropped a couple of lbs. I do think she will be pregnant rather soon though, if she isn't already. I mean, it's a given. There's no way they're secretly preventing... Together. Michael is baby mad. Brandon? I'm not so sure...

And Erin I think will be pregnant by Summer.

What are you seeing that suggests pregnancy? I'm never good at picking up on subtle (or even blatant, sometimes) changes in people's appearances, so I don't understand what tipped you off.

Alyssa's face. That, and she's hiding her belly (which is growing, if you pay close attention). She managed to hide her last pregnancy until 20 weeks and was still quite small. I think it was a week or 2 before the announcement came, and people were still saying "nah, she's not pregnant".

Yeah... I agree.  I haven't put much thought into the Lawson-"whichever-one-of-the-J girls" courtship rumors, but for him to be at the Duggars on actual Christmas Day without most of the rest of his family (unclear who is chaperoning, if anyone, from the Bates side)....  well, that says "courtship" to me.   

These Bates/Duggars  ...  always with the little clues & hints on social media.  I'm kinda sick of it.  But of course I'm still talking about it.  

Also think there are three add'l Bates grandchildren gestating as we speak.

Isn't Joseph on winter break? I think Lawson is too worldly for a Duggar. I thought maybe Tebow and Jana, but he may be too worldly for her too.

I'm so cynical about the Duggars at this stage that my thought process goes a little something like this:

"Hmmm, Lawson Bates is at the Duggar's house for Chrismtas. Must be a courtship or else surely he'd be with his own family on Christmas Day?

But let's face it, JimBob will do anything to try and make his family cute and appealing again and stop us using ugly words like molestation and pornstar. Lawson is the very definition of cute and appealing, therefore JimBob will use him too...

Therefore I think that this whole series of photos are a cynical ploy by JimBob to get us chatting avidly about his family in a "nice" way"

End of thought process. And a completely halt to caring, because both families are total media whores at the end of the day.

I'm not much into courtship rumors, but will add my two cents after viewing Famy's latest contribution to the instaworld.  At the very end of this vid you see Joe (in shorts) sitting very close to what I think is Carlin Bates.  They're not squished together out of necessity, but rather, there's plenty of room to Joe's left (between him and Mackynzie).

It looks like Ashley was at the Duggars for Christmas too. Amy posted a pic with her. I imagine Nathan went along on the trip as well. Lots of courtship stuff to speculate on for sure.

Since it involves Gil, I'll give an update on the lawsuit against the IBLP BoD here. Basically Gil and the rest of the board have been lying their asses off. Back when RG first brought to light the abuse and the abuse cover up, the board hired what they claimed was an unbiased person to investigate the abuse claims. When they released a statement about the lawsuit, they apparently forgot that and mentioned this guy is a close friend to IBLP. They then remembered and edited the post, but the internet is forever, so the original statement has been saved.  

The board recently announced that the lawsuit has been dismissed, but that is also a lie. Not only has it not been dismissed, but more victims are coming forward to join in. The board has claimed that this is about things that happened 20 years ago, implying that they shouldn't be held accountable, but the youngest women involved in this lawsuit are still teens, so we are talking about very recent events. 

I really, really hope this gets the news coverage that the Josh scandal did and that it brings down the Bates family just like it did the Duggars. Gil is being accused of helping cover up and victim blame the abuse of teens who had already been sexually abused, often times as small children. He is one nasty, vile person and is absolutely no better than Jim Bob and I hope people will start seeing that. 

I'm guessing UP and the Bates will keep on trying to gloss over this and keep pretending this is just a wholesome family.
