I did. June is now a blonde, I think it's a good color for her.

I agree, it is an improvement. I thought the Marilyn getup was funny, along with Uncle Poodle's head in the pumpkin. But I did not understand the pillow without a pillowcase on the bed of the girl with the injured eye, surely they had a clean one somewhere in that house or could spend a few dollars of that TLC money to spring for a pair. Then again, it could be part of the hillbilly schitck, and the pillowcase was put on after filming.

I really love them. Sometimes they gross me out (all the bodily humor stuff) , but I love how much fun they have together and how much they clearly love each other. June's hair looks really nice straight. Actually it would probably look nice curly too if someone hooked her up with the right products. I do love that she is putting the TLC money in trust funds for all the kids. That baby is absolutely adorable. I thought the exchange between June and Alana where June told her I just want to be pretty like you was endearing. And I LOVE seeing Alana interact with her dad. She is so clearly crazy about him. And when she was so sad for his sister not getting to go trick-or-treating, that was precious.

Yeah, the bodily humour stuff I can do without (I have a really low tolerance for endless fart jokes, puke jokes and the like) but although I've only seen bits and pieces of the show, I like their nature a lot. They seem a sweet, loving and accepting family. You get the feeling you'd like to know them, and you don't get that a lot with reality TV folk.

Hillbilly porn? Does it have subtitles?

Since when does porn require subtitles?

I have never seen the show but Duggar fans comment on how badly behaved Alana is . Sure, it seems she has some issues though I can't see the Duggar kids any more behaved. They push and shove in line, run amok in upscale bridal shops, and climb on ocunters with thier bare feet. The kids on reality tv all have issues iMO which isn't their fault. They are just kids. It is up to he parent to correct the inappropiate behavior.

Alana actually reminds me a bit of my child-self. Once she knows she shouldn't or isn't supposed to do something, she doesn't do it again. She just happens to be really good at coming up with new things that haven't explicitly been disallowed yet. So yeah, she acts out, but June always seems to correct her, and Alana doesn't act out in the same way again once corrected. Can't say that for the Duggars.

Lee Thompson, Alana's Uncle Poodle and Sugar Bear's brother, just revealed that he's HIV positive. His pressed charges against his ex because he knew he had the disease and hadn't been taking his medication or informed Lee of it. How sad :(

I'm so sorry for Uncle Poodle. I really like him and that is such sad news.

Someone mentioned the pillow-caseless pillows above. I had not noticed them before and now it's all I can see. They are so dirty looking! Ugh.

Their Thanksgiving episode aired on Sunday. I normally think that the show is awkwardly funny, but this episode had a lot of food prep in it that was really bad. For instance, June sneezed on the uncooked turkey a few times as she was preparing it. Yuck. The food handling was poor, and the amount of butter used in everything was unbelievable. There was a shot of a bowl of corn with a huge, huge ball of butter on top - there was almost as much butter as there was corn. As they were eating, one of the sisters had cranberry sauce all over her face. I wonder if they are really like that, or if TLC asked them to ham it up for ratings and to play up the hillbilly stereotype.

I feel sorry for Uncle Poodle's health.

Yeah I'm wondering if they eat that badly or if TLC is making it worse than it is. I saw all the butter as well. I don't know much about chickens, but is it really a good inside pet?

I suspect that the chicken was a TLC idea. Most people don't give pets free rein of the house if they can't be trained to use the litter box or to go outside to poop. With a baby in their house now, they really need to keep the floors extra clean for when she starts to crawl. Though these people may not have good manners, they are not stupid, so some of it is probably just to keep up the hillbilly spiel and therefore the ratings.

I couldn't watch most of the episode due to the disgustingness of it. I kept hoping it was 90% TLC plot and not the real June and company coming out. The beds were a mess and that chicken running loose was awful to me. Although they did let the pig defecate on the kitchen table in earlier episodes.

Just as TLC definitely played up the Duggars' clean-cut functional family look, they're definitely playing up Honey Boo Boo's family's habits. I've come to expect it. I got to watch an episode when I was visiting my parents last weekend. They're an endearing family, but I hate how the producers have made the show all about what they would normally edit out of other families' shows. Can you imagine if Michelle had allergies and they edited her interview so that most of it was just her sneezing?

I definitely think TLC is playing up the disgustingness of the family, or maybe I'm just hoping that's the case. I can't stomach some of the show, like puking, but I do think that they're a loving family who are not judgmental and just enjoy spending time together. June is smarter than a lot of these other reality stars in the sense that she's putting most of the money in savings for her children's future.

So sorry to hear about Uncle Poodle...unprotected sex is still dangerous in 2013.

I think the Thompson family performs for the camera, I don't believe for a minute that they really act like they are shown. It's a ploy to get and keep viewers who want to know what they will do or say next. And it works because I watch faithfully, I just turn away when it gets too nasty.

I was bored and realized I'd DVRed the Christmas special and decided to watch. Disgusting aside, this family has grown on me. They obviously have a lot of unconditional love for one another and they don't pretend for one second that things are perfect. Combine that with fundraisers to support their community and they aren't nearly as bad as I thought from the previews. I think that they will become more worldly over time, which will be good for them, but I hope they keep some of the simplicity and enjoyment they get from just being around one another. And I'd much rather see ornery kids with individual personalities than little robots who are stunted and either afraid of being beaten or allowed to run completely wild because their parents checked out in the first 12 months of their lives. Honey boo boo is becoming my secret guilty pleasure

So, did anyone see the wedding episode? I'll be honest, I really liked Mama June's dress. The camo with the orange was definitely unique, and I thought she looked beautiful. The girls looked sweet in their matching pink dresses, and I loved the flowers. My only question was, why was Sugar Bear dressed exactly like his groomsmen? I would have though he would have worn a jacket, or at least something slightly different from the orange vests.

He was so sweet when he began to tear up after seeing June walk down the aisle, and then he completely broke down during the vows. :)

I hope this doesn't come across as mean, but does anyone in this family work for a living or were they all on some sort of disability/state aid before the TLC gravy train came along? There is no mention of the fathers of the two middle girls so I'm guessing they aren't in the picture. I also don't recall any mention of baby Kaitlyn's father. No matter how much this family loves each other, TLC certainly seems to be underscoring the dumb, illiterate, hillbillies who don't work, eat poorly, are obese and are into farting, belching and other disgusting bodily functions for entertainment purposes.

June doesn't have a high school diploma and is legally blind. During the Toddlers and Tiaras episodes, she showed how she couponed to save money for the family. Sugar bear works, or did (I haven't watched this season so I don't know what he's up to now). I'm pretty sure last I knew he worked over 40 hrs a week.

He works, I don't know as what exactly but June mentioned in the first season that he works six days a week.

I liked the wedding episode too, June's dress was not really my cup of tea, but the older girls and Alana looked very pretty. And neon bright :D

TLC seems to make a theme of televising families where no one works for a living-19Kids and Counting, Sister Wives and Honey Boo. Even the Little People couple now never go to work. TLC's paycheck to these people must be huge!!!

My guilty pleasure from across the pond.

One question?

WHY on earth is there no fences or embankments around the railtrack? WHY is it so close to the house? Are there no laws about these things?

Jen took off a few weeks when they brought Will home- less time than a maternity leave and then went back full time. So yeah, she works.

So does Bill who is now back at his pet store. Will has a nanny.
