Just wanted to add this to the OBGYN exam discussion:

You don't need to be a virgin to be small/"tight" down there! Just like penises come in all shapes and sizes, so do vaginas; they just tend to get "looser" when you're aroused. I've been sexually active for years and I still cannot comfortably use tampons or get a pelvic exam without crying and bleeding. My fiance messed around with a virgin before we met. When he and I first became sexual (I was not a virgin), he was SHOCKED by how "tight" I was. He legitimately thought that virgin = super tight and that not-virgin = never tight again. It blew his mind that I could be so much smaller than a girl who had never even been kissed before. Ridiculous! Yet another reflection of stellar sexual education. :pb_lol:

It happens to me too. If i don't have sex for a while, next time it hurts a little because i'm veryyyyy tight down there.. I'm a born again virgin lol.

Oh, my gosh, yes!!!! Our first time after each baby, my husband is like, “holy cow, what happened!?”   :pb_lol: Crazy. (We typically wait about five weeks and all my births are sections.)

And I’m not a small girl. Some lovely gal was just *shocked* that I could be such a big girl, but have a tight vagina/small birth canal. :pb_rollseyes:

Michael is fond of baby pink/white shimmery eyeshadow. She either went too hard with it or it just doesn't translate well into black and white.

I’ve heard that heavier women are tighter.

I think that’s a bunch of hoohah. I’ve always been tight, even when I was thin.

I've heard that women who lost their virginity during a new moon are tighter. Women under 5'4" who sleep on their stomachs are kind of medium in vaginal tightness. And women who drink their coffee black can tighten, loosen, lengthen and shorten their vaginas by up to four square feet at will.

I SEVERELY think Michael and Brandon would have heart attacks reading these last few pages. I feel this would be a conversation better suited to AYTFJ.  Lots of personal stuff there.  Maybe that’s just me.

I sleep on my stomach!  But dammit, I've only shrunk to 5'5-and-a-half" so far -- need another few years before I'm down to 5'4"...  And oh yeah, without a partner it's really not a pressing life issue anyway... :my_tongue:

Ah, but what else are you gonna brag about on an Internet forum? :kitty-wink:

Now that I'm over 30 they do an HPV test in addition to the pap smear, since being older makes you more likely to develop the cancer. But they don't do that on younger women because HPV is endemic in sexually active women in their 20s and most of the time it doesn't cause any harm and the body clears it in a few years.

I had some mild changes last time I had a pap smear and they tested me for HPV and since I had no virus present I would not need to have any further check ups or have a pap smear at an earlier date than if I had not had these changes. Great!

Although I feel so sorry for M&B having such struggles on their way to parenthood. But - the positive part is that they get to know each other for better and for worse, they get to spend alot of time being sweethearts and learning to trust each other 100% before they bring another member into their family.

Sadly, I wonder if they can enjoy that time though? For all they all talk about "however many the Lord sends" and "this season of life" it's about numbers. How many can she pop out. That is the measure of a woman's worth. Right now she is getting close to worthless. Ridiculous of course, but not in her world. I feel for her so much.

I suspect it's only Michael who thinks that, while Brandon would be happy with no kids at all, telling  "God decides"

I don't know I think if Brandon wasn't just a little anxious Micheal wouldn't be allowed her fertility specialist. I mean if he was really God decides they wouldn't have had her one Fallopian tube cleaned out or tried to figure out the issue and just take it as a sign god didn't want them to have kids.

I can see it a bit when they try to save a would be or already there pregnancy (Erin's blood clot meds Kelly's progestrone) because those two would still get pregnant without them just miscarry. Micheal on the other hand just seems not to be able to get pregnant period.

I agree. He is also probably being looked at, pointed at and quizzed at work. His manhood, his credibility as a Godly Gothard-ite man is in question even though they all will believe it is purely Michael's fault. It can't be easy.

I hope so. Of course the missing pregnancy is spinning in their brains most of he time, as it does for all couples who struggles with infertility, but luckily our brains can multitask. And to me it looks as they are spending quite alot of time doing things they enjoy doing.

Wow, Callie got to go see her mom in Chicago. Addallee is really growing up. I have always thought she looked so much like Michael, but in these pictures, I think she looks like Trace.

I'm weirdly surprised she was able to hold her right after she came out since the top photo shows she wasn't cleaned yet.

waiting to bathe a newborn seems to be the going thing right now. I have never personally had a baby but I vaguely remembered hearing about this and if you google it a lot articles pop up

here is one from august.

I find it very sweet that Micheal was there for Everly's birth which to me points to Erin having an induction because what other reason would Micheal have already been there.
