I can't believe that David hasn't pinged anyone's gaydar within his circle of friends and family. Or maybe he has and it's been ignored in the hope that being married to Priscilla will straighten him out. Of course now he's impregnated her, all the Gothardites who know him will be relieved and think that he married and prayed the gay away.

No one's actually gay, doncha know? My friends parents lie when they say they knew he was gay at four. They failed as parents because they didn't beat the shit gay out of him. David Waller creeps me out. At the wedding rehearsal, when he was describing to Priscilla what their wedding ceremony would be like, I got shivers. The way he was talking to her was like a molester telling a child about the great time they were going to have together and how special it would be. It was so uncomfortable and disconcerting to watch. Perhaps it was merely the combination of his dead-behind-the-eyes, robotic mannerisms coupled with (what someone else up-thread already mentioned) the way he speaks, which is like he's talking to a small child.

I'm sure he's had his own inner conversation along the lines of, "B-b-b-but I can't be gay, I'm a Christian!!" because in fundie world, the two are mutually exclusive. It must be downright painful to suppress that.

I'd like to congratulate David and Pris on a new baby but I feel rather sad. He is coming over so gay (not that there is anything wrong with that unless you are pretending to be straight), she is so freaking childish, and whoever they procreate will be trained up in ATI. Priscilla and David pause at the reflection pond. Wow! There is so much to reflect on! While David was teaching in the school he was able to teach a young handicapped boy about forgiveness and love. This boy had been in the daycare of the building nearly blown to pieces in the bombing. Now this young man is graduating from college. Time has flown, but for many the memories are like they happened yesterday.

Sprocket, good call on Ma Keller's glasses. They were the first thing my eyes were drawn to in that pic. Doing the math, that would be Baby Anna in Pa Keller's arms in the last pic. Observe how trim Pa was...totally unrecognizable today.

When I first looked at that photo, I wondered where Mr. Keller was. Did a double take and was amazed that at one time, Pa Keller was a not wholly unattractive man. Pa Keller is another one who pings my gaydar, but I openly admit my gaydar is not super-charged.

Josh is going to end up looking like a larger version of Pa Keller one day.

David's video made me uncomfortable to watch. He reminds me of the Sue Ann Nivens character on Mary Tyler Moore - always so BRIGHT! and CHEERFUL! Why do fundies have so little class? Showing off the stick that your wife peed on? Geez Louise. It was a nice touch to leave Priscilla out of the video altogether too -- after all, she's just the vessel for his precious man seed. It's not like she's integral to the whole baby-making/carrying for nine months/birthing/raising process or anything.

You hit the nail of the headship! That type of person has always annoyed me so much. Seems really phony to me. But sadly, in David's case, I think it's real.

Are there any gay men on here who also think David is gay? He pinged massively the first time I saw him and I wondered if it was just me. I think I doubted myself because it seemed too obvious. I cannot even figure out how Priscilla could have even been attracted to him AT ALL. Although the emphasis on manly men seems more VF than Gothard. Pa Keller does ministry work for prisons throughout Florida. I think he had a regular job but quit after being a juror when he noticed how prisoners needed Jesus in their lives.

As for the crappy trailer, there's more to it, according to Rebekah's husband. They live in a pretty decent lot but supposedly TLC just shows that small trailer and nothing else for who knows what reason.

Which is why they have no suspicion about Doug Phillips ( is a tool.)

In the wedding episode a couple of Duggars seemed to be dissing Gayvid a bit, saying that they were surprised how involved he was with the details of the wedding, that most MEN don't care much.

I read in Gayvid's story on their website something about how he accepted the lord around age 14, maybe he was "sinner" going down his true path until that point? Also, Pa Keller's words to him at the time of the engagement were to let the lord dictate how many kids they have and to "be accountable to Priscilla for his internet use." Huh?

It's actually the antibody/hormone line that's darker, in the plus sign. One line in there means not pregnant. The other line all by itself just means that the test is working. Either way, even a slight positive is still considered a positive.

As for how he managed to step up to the plate: doggy style, baby! :dance:
