It's not a fashion faux pas, it's about the rule against wearing mixed fibers (to refute those who cite the other rules in Leviticus that prohibit homosexuality, and why thoughtful said both shirts look like 100% cotton). I agree, though, that fundies are probably secretly jealous of couples who legitimately make their own love matches.*

*ETA, I wrote this, and immediately thought: Dammit, Akin, now you've even ruined the perfectly good adjective "legitimate" for me.

Yes, it refers to the mixed fiber rule. God actually refers to mixed fibers in stronger language than he refers to homosexuality. Which means he has his priorities, first the fabric and then teh gheyz.

Thanks for jogging that little gem loose from my memory. I spent many an awesome Saturday morning with Bugs and the crew in my misbegotten youth. Good times. :D

Josh Duggar would never be able to get the allusions to classical music and literature in those cartoons. Plus Bugs was a militant vegetarian. No CFA for him.

I've already commented on that post (via FB). Can someone with a sock puppet FB or instagram sacrifice it to post that on his wall? If I hadn't commented about the younger kids not even knowing who Bugs was, I'd do it, but he still may be able to ban me (or find me here). I prefer to insinuate to keep myself reasonably viable there.

My memory just supplied that Josh went to an actual *gasp* kindergarten for a while. It makes me feel a little bad for Smugs, one day Bugs Bunny and school, next day mom and dad go batshit and everything gets taken away from him.

It occurred to me that Josh is probably making up for the lack of fast food he had while growing up. It seems that even the "home-cooked" meals leave a lot to be desired nutritionally, but still...if you grow up and move out and have a job so that you can eat a McBurger after years of being denied them, it's easy to see how he gained so much weight so quickly. Reminds me of the guy in SuperSize Me.
