Gallagher leaving on the 19th of April means his seat will remain vacant until January. So she wants him expelled immediately because— according to his state’s rules—that would mean they can replace him as he left Congress before the 2nd Tuesday in April.

I still find it bizarre that a seat would just be empty for 9 months instead of there being a by-election. I do admire the parting FU of the resignation timing though, especially if it was done at MTG and her ilk.

She's not young enough, pretty enough, or quiet enough for him to keep her around personally, nor politically powerful enough to be any help - she'd probably be a liability instead. So yeah I agree, I don't think she'd last long there.

I just still struggle with the fact that idiots like her manage to get into congress. I remember growing up being taught that members of congress were to be respected and had earned being voted into that position. Now it's like the people too dumb to be on a reality TV show have ended up there instead.
