As best I can figure it, it appears that one of the major sticking points Fox has with settling with Dominion is that Dominion is insisting that Fox airs apologies and corrections.  They want the talking heads on Fox to admit that the whole thing was a lie.  Rupert is afraid to do that because he feels that it will cost him the majority of his viewing audience.  It may well do that.  I still think he'll try to find a way to weasel out and settle with everybody but, if I were Dominion, I'd still insist on that apology.

There is also internet chatter about conflict between James and Lachlan.  Some say James wants to take Fox from Lachlan after Rupert goes and that he wants to destroy it.  I'm not sure the other siblings will let him.  Lachlan, of course, wants to keep on being the rightwing noise machine.  James stepped away some time back but I hope he does manage to get the sisters to back him in a takeover.  The problem will be trying to sell it in total, break it up and sell it, or just take the loss.

One big fear is that they'll try to sell it and there aren't that many people with the financial resources.  A name that keeps popping  up is -- you guessed it -- Elon Musk.  The only person worse than Rupert would be Elon.

I’m seeing headlines that the parties settled in the Dominion case.  It will be interesting if the details are ever released on that.  I hope Dominion got tons of money and their employees compensated bigly for all the harassment they’ve dealt with.

The dollar figure appears to be about half of what was asked, so Fox to pay about $787 million.
