but it's not working because Jessa comes across as trying to hard and Ben comes across as a mouth breather who needs a proper job but what's fascinating is she finally resolves that the scandals brought them closer and that Spurgeon was welcoming because of the scandals

I just cant.  I really cant.  This is the lowest low of all lows.  Dear TLC, FUCK YOU.  FUCK ALL OF YOU.  You have reached a level of pimping that I honestly didnt think was possible.  Just FUCK YOU. The Duggars are famewhores, but at the end of the day these girls are victims.  Exploiting them like this is SO WRONG.

8 hours before the trip - Jessa and Bin are packing.  Jessa reminds Bin to only take things that they'll use.  He needs to sort through his shorts and only take things that match.

Flashback to WAY back when Jessa packs and they're in prairie dresses... back to the yard sales... she likes to step up and be "the bad guy"

Jessa is "opinionated," "loyal" and "besties" with Jinger.  They liked to cook and make stuff...

Jessa tells us that they have to get up at 3 am to make their 6 am flight.  Spurge is laying on the couch (its daylight).  Spurge sleeps 5-6 hours a night.  Getting up that early, they hope he will sleep on the plane.

BIn - we have to take special precautions... sunscreen, bugspray... those are the 2 main things.  We have to take good care of him

Bin looks for diapers and wipes.

Jessa - we will be in a rural part of CA, we have to bring things because we cant just go to the grocery store

The 2 of them disagree about how many diapers he goes through

Jessa washes clothes for Izzy.  

Jessa - I'm thankful that over a difficult year my family has drawn even closer together. We're stronge than ever. This trip is a testament to that.

Flashback to her being pregnant and the producer asking if the last few months tempered the joy of being pregnant while she does her hair.

Jessa TH - During my pregnancy my family walked through some very difficult times.  A lot of things from my oldest brothers past were brought up it was just really difficult for us as a family to walk throughthat again and relive that.  Here I am, the most joyful time in my life, you know, newly married, baby on the way, and then people go digging up old bones and it was really, really frustrating.  

Jinger - A few weeks after our faces werent on the magazine covers anymore we could go to the grocery store and it was more like a normal life.  And then we got word that something new came out.  It was so unreal that we still have trouble comprehending it today. But just the reality of this, this person we thought we knew, that we love greatly, we still love (she looks off to the side like she HAD to throw that in) but just the hard pain that has caused.  (A tear rolls down her cheek and she bites her lip.  She dabs her eyes and nods, clearly trying to hold it together) 

Jessa - It was very difficult and we cried a lot of tears.  I feel like it was especially difficult for me because I had spoke out in defense of Josh and stood up for him and there was another whole wave of things that came through and some things were exposed about his personal life, currently, now (the bitch undertone is AMAZING - she sounds like she wants to cut him) what he was involved in, and so it was really difficult for me to just be like "I stood up here, I spoke out for him" and yet there were things that he was hiding, that he wasnt being honest about.  And so, it was very emotional in those months after that just working though all that.

They set up the crib

Jessa voiceover - the fact that I was pregnant was kind of a breath of fresh air because we had the birth of this child to look forward to and it was really exciting thinking about that.  I think it really helped to get my mind off the circumstances of where we are and just help me look forward to the future.

They finish putting the crib together.

Jana - I think Jessa, being pregnant, it helped us in some ways to be encouraged in that even in some of the hardest times of your life there still can be joy in those moments and, in this case it was a new life coming into the world. 

Bin and Jessa sit on the couch and read the bible.

Jessa - I think for us as a couple it even strengthened our resolve to be true to our wedding vows and to always keep our first love which is god and pursue that, and then to pursue eachother (she looks at bin) 100%, you know, and I feel like we, as a couple, even drew closer together through the difficulty.

8 hours until they leave.  Bin looks for passports. (awkward segue)

Bin - packing went smoothly and we're ready

Jessa - I cant wait to meet izzy and spurge.
