Maxwells on the road and a secret picture!

I'm probably reading way too much into it, but the last two posts (NotRuthie and the conference re-cap) seem to have a lot of baby angst in them. Something about the way Sarah is fawning over the host family's little girl, and the long curly hair on that baby at the conference is heartbreaking. Maybe her biological clock is ticking? Or maybe it's nothing and I'm a lunatic who spends way too much time speculating on the motives of sheltered weirdos that I will never meet. Could be both.

Hmm. I noticed there were also a few photos focusing on tall, slim, good-looking (IMO at least) men. I actually scrolled back and forth for a bit because I thought she had "featured" the same guy twice, but they weren't the same, just similar in my eyes. So that fits with your comments too, if she is expressing herself through her photos in that way.

Free Sarah!

She's actually pretty attractive. It depends on the picture, but there's a video where she's talking about writing her books and she looks really pretty. What do fundie men look for? Let's be honest, men are initially attracted by looks and fundie men are still men. She 9bviously meets all the fundie criteria. Do they see past the awful clothes? Or are the awful clothes a turn-on for them?

I supposed the courting process would be difficult, dealing with Stevehova and all. But a fundie man would know that he could take her far enough away that they wouldn't have to deal with her family on a regular basis.

And on an unrelated matter, dark chocolate sea salt caramels are an idol for me and now I want some. The Maxhells have defrauded me with their chocolate porn.

Isn't "Keeping Our Children's Hearts" the only book they've had translated into Spanish? How come it's that one?

Maybe it's a another translation. Or maybe it'll just be too boring for words and they're putting it on sale, or something.

They are long overdue an updated version of Hearts. They have lived through five more high school graduations leading on to faux jobs in the family business, two broken courtships, and a rebellious child growing into a couldn't-care-less adult who now travels the world, free of accountability! Exciting times with the Moody-Maxwells! :D

Christopher defiantly has a frumper fetish. I would imagine he demands that NR Anna wears her frumper during sweet fellowshiping....

Interesting that Stud John got to fly to join the conference. I thought air travel was a no no in maxhell due to the defrauding body scans?

Does it make anyone else feel a little...squicky...about how comfortable the Maxwell girls feel around other people's children? Obviously, I don't think anything nefarious is happening. I just think it odd that they seem so presumptuous about other people's children. Hugging them, letting them sit on their laps, always being ok with the children helping. I just find it weird that they're always surrounded by the children and you rarely see them talking to people their age, like you see John and Jesse doing.

They're Home Sweet Home, guys! (Sarah's phrasing: "we pulled up to Home Sweet Home about 9:30 last night"). They passed the 15 hours by talking, praying and worshipping.... duh. They watched the lunar eclipse:

We also saw the lunar eclipse begin and then continue to encompass the moon. AMAZING! God’s Creation and design is incredible.

They managed to get a pretty good photo of it.

Yup. It's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll about The Lord.

I'm surprised they knew about the eclipse. But then again I think they follow current events more than they let on.

What could possibly top their piece de resistance, "Making Great Conversationalists"?! It would have to be something absolutely epic. Maybe, "Do You Kids Know Where You're Going When You Die? A Guide for Proselytizing to Sinners Ages 6 and Under"

I can just see it now - the cover picture will be the recent photo of Anna dressed as a clown!

I had similar thoughts when looking at the pictures. They do seem to like playing the "auntie" role but it almost comes off a bit Pied Piper-ish. All of their non-Maxwell pictures at home feature the elderly (pie parties, game night, open house, etc.) but once they hit the conferences they snap a lot of pictures of the girls surrounded by children. Teri, Steve, and the boys are all shown talking with other adults, but Mary and Anna are not just draped in children they appear to be followed by groups of children. I guess it is just a subject that Sarah likes to photograph. Probably the kids are bored as hell and the "aunties" actually take time to interact with them.

So I wonder how it is that John and Jesse have two male friends from Georgia? Are these real friends or just "friends" i.e. people they have met once before at a conference or on-line?

I think it's "friends" rather than friends. I think whoever they meet at their conferences become "friends" who they probably never bother with again once they leave town.

Regarding Anna and Mary, they might see it as their contribution to watch/entertain kids while the parents attend the conferences (or host their family at their homes). If so, it's not too weird. Hopefully they're doing it to give parents a break (or free them up to spend $$ on Maxwell crap).

Also, Sarah has mentioned how kids just looooove Anna. I really think she uses the blog to advertise her sisters and their availability as wife (and mother) material.

Apparently they are going to be announcing something soon, and it has to do with Keeping Our Children's Hearts. I wonder what is is - a new book or a reissue of the old one?

Since that is their creepiest book, I hope they announce that they have changed their views and no longer advise the extreme sheltering described in the book. No, I don't think that's gonna happen. But to quote the Beach Boys, "Wouldn't it be nice?"

I think Stevie probably follows the news and then filters out what he feels is okay to pass on to the family. His married sons probably do the same.

They have just spent a week with a family that is less fundie than them. I expect that the Maxwells would have had quite an education! I

It would be nice, however I fear it's just the opposite. Most of the kids were little when they wrote the original. I think it will be an update to say their kids turned out great and it's all because they kept their hearts :ew:

They've written Corners like that (eg. //articles.titus2.com/1-2-3-fruit/) and I imagine they think it's time for a book.

I find that sort of bragging so arrogant.

Almost everyone is less fundy then them. They are their own special brand in fact. I hope they learned they don't have to so extreme (Hi Steve  )

Have to agree w/ u.

Or Steve (and maybe Terri) follows current events and only allows Sarah, Anna, & Mary to be aware of appropriately chosen ones like the eclipse.

Most likely the case. Erika Shupa also "green houses" her children. OK...but when they are 35 are they still in the green house?

Of course they know. Steve does read here!

Now I want to know what Steve thinks about Islamophobia, the European refugee crisis, and nerdy brown kids with homemade clocks in their bookbags.

On second thought, no I don't.

I want to know what Steve thinks about caca and stripper poles.

Oh, and Korean skincare.

Is he an INTJ? Maybe I'll pm him with my romantic dilemmas.
