Joshley Madison: 2 Sex Scandals and Counting

Man, I really chose the right time to be bedridden due to a severe sunburn.

Imagine a woman who can barely move pathetically sipping water through a straw with a constant layer of aloe on her skin meekly scrolling down pages upon pages of this mess.

My opinion is that Joshie realized he got caught, wasn't expecting to what with his fake email address, was bombarded with angry phone calls from JB telling him to "be dignified enough to give a response to the world" and quickly typed out a text to DQ who quickly uploaded it to her blog, only to have JB edit it a few times after it has been posted.

I feel like Josh is freaking out he got caught, but feels no real emotion towards anyone else in the situation. He probably has mustered some fake tears for Anna, but that's about it.

I am imagining the Boys Room at TTH with little Jackson wanting to go out and get a snack because he hasn't eaten all day, and Joseph refusing to let him out because JB and Michelle are downstairs with a PR team and gave strict orders to the kids that they must stay in the room and that dinner will be delivered to them later.

Out of lurk mode... Stayed up till 2 in the morning reading the other threads and trying to catch up on this one.

I had to grab a quick beer and the laptop to join in this disaster. :shifty:

I am not through reading to all pages yet, but I have to say this in between:

- Since I first heard about Joshes account on Ashley Madison I hear him singing "I´ll take care of you"at his weeding, over an over. It pops in my head again and again (And my mind isn´t even able to edit his horrible voice out)

- This is the absolute nail to the Duggar coffin. As others stated before: It´s a shame but for fundis this is worse than him molesting his sisters "as a Teenager´who actually has just been to curious about the Girls alLong long time ago"

- I am suprised how much I love this and that I feel relief because american fundi christians really scare/worry me. If they get real political power, they have power over a lot of weapons (Bush has been a nightmare to the wordl changing europs opinion on the US tremendously, but if the US become a real Fundi-County....) Not that these worries disappear with the fall of the Duggars....

- I do feel sorry for Anna; she is a victim of her upbringing. In her world she did everything she was supposed to do and at first "God rewarded her" (as he is supposed to do) with money and the Status of beeing among the Fundi Queens. I hope she is not blamed for her husbands cheating "Dougi style". But never ever is she going to leave him. But then, I really would have never thought Josh cheated on her.

This indeed. I don't feel sorry for Anna....I pity the children because they didn't ask to be born into this trainwreck. She's cleaved unto him...she might be pissed and embarrassed but she will do Tammy Wynette justice and stand by her man. :doh:

Yes it's conceivable that Josh could just desert Anna. He clearly is not happy....but I do not see him as someone who would necessariy be happy in a marriage....if this is his profile so far.

And they will just circle the wagons and pray til they burst. I guess I knew this is what would happen.

So....sad thought. This is just Josh. Child #1. All of his siblings have been raised exactly like him. How many more scandals in the future could there be? How much stuff are they hiding? Not for Josh....there are 18 more kids who are arguably as effed up as him in most areas of life.

I feel like Josh is uniquely awful, but if there is anything else out there I think it will probably come out eventually.

I actually think he's taking less responsibility himself. He also removed references to internet pornography becoming a secret addiction, and that he was unfaithful to his wife.

Edit: Wait, the unfaithful part IS still there. He just removed the connection to pornography. I guess he saw the 'Josh Duggar blames internet porn for cheating' headlines.

My guess is he realized he was admitting to something extra no one knew about or was talking about... watching porn. So now he's back to just admitting to the cheating.

Wasn't it just so quaint when TLC"s big scandal was "a nearly divorced Jon Gosselin has a girlfriend!!!!" Gotta say, I thought the Duggars were messed up, but I did not see any of this going down!

I bet the Bates family is thanking their lucky stars they realized the courtship thing had some flaws the way they did it simply by a failed courtship... rather than a sex scandal!! Now if only they'd all drop it completely and let their kids figure out their own love lives.

To be fair, that scandal started as: "Supposedly happily married father of 8 is seen at college party trolling for a girl."

A mistress/concubine would be more like Hagar, who Sarai gave to Abraham since she was barren.

Jacob's concubines were Bilhah and Zilphah, who were gifts from Leah and Rachel. Biblically, they are given to the man by his wife for the purpose of having even more kids, which doesn't require the wife to be barren. Leah had a bunch of kids on her own ("when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb"), and she gave him a concubine anyway. For Jacob, the bastard children had the same rights as the legitimate ones, Levitical rules.

Maybe Joshie could get on this polygamy/concubinage train. Then he could fight for BIBLICAL marriage. He's all into Leviticus anyway.

Matt Walsh, who was a huge defender of Josh during the first scandal, is throwing Josh, Michelle and Jim Bob under the bus. If Matt Walsh is ditching them, then the Duggars are fucked. There is going to be no coming back from this.

Good fucking god, how is it that the most disturbing part of this scandal is that so many people will simply forgive a CHILD MOLESTER but god forbid an adult man cheat on his wife with a consenting adult? Blech. Josh is gross and a horrible husband and most likely shitty father, but molesting his sisters etc is so much worse than cheating. THIS is the scandal where someone could say "2/3 of people do this!" and be close to right (I am guessing, I have no idea what number of people cheat but I bet it's a lot more than those who molest!).

Edit: Just looked at it: there's an event in 2004 ("Registered as an Organ Donor") but you can add events retroactively so I doubt the account was actually registered in 2004. The earliest activity I see is from 11/12, just two months before he registered his first AM account.

Given that he's probably watched oceans worth of porn over the past decade plus, I'd guess he knows what it is. Whether he know what to do with it is another question, but I'm sure he thinks "Sounds like it could be fun!"

Well, facebook was founded in 2004, so I'm guessing that's false seeing how Josh was not a Harvard student at the time.
