Anyway, Mama Arndt is 53, though I suppose it's not unheard of to be pregnant at 53, I really hope she isn't. She did have a miscarriage in 2005 I think it was.

I finally had a chance to sit down and watch one of their youtube videos, the one where one guy goes around the house filming what the others are doing.... I think I expected them to be stranger, based on the posts here. I don't know, they didn't seem all that odd to me... friendly, seem like ordinary folks for the most part.. someone said they had speech issues? I noticed one guy who was a little difficult to understand, but not impossible, and the rest sounded normal... The oldest (Mark?) looks to be a great photographer by the sample photos I saw laid out in the dining area....

There's a part where they show this awesome k'nex structure (or whatever it's made out of) ~ way cool. I love stuff like that but I can't build it ... haven't got the patience or the understanding of physics LOL

I'd like to hear their weird-ass accent/speech impediment too, but I just can't get through more than about three minutes of any of their videos, they're so freaking boring. I've seen a ping-pong tournament (yawn), some trip to Michigan where some building got unlocked (who cares?), and new schoolbooks for homeschool (let me just stick an icepick in my eye right. fucking. now.)

From what I can tell, they are the most "normal" of the Fundies who have a strong internet presence.

The strange thing about them? That the GROWN children still live at home and work at home (in the family business). (That's how they show their extreme fundie-ness.) And those grown children seem immature (due to still living at home, I would assume.) So yeah - they'd be "normal" if the kids were 15 years younger!!

I mean, I'm 30. I have lived 600 miles away from my parents for 12 years now. And I just can't imagine it.

It's not just k'nex, the man-boys are very keen on playing with their vast collection of stuffed penguins, which feature quite often on their blog and videos (I've only watched a few - hangover day YouTube marothon).
