What bothers me more about this is that I get the vibe that he is riding on the coattails. I guess that is how you get ahead when you can't make great music. Emily Ann Roberts went through all the work for her second place spot on The Voice. To become well known, you have to do what it takes to build your fan base, whether it is playing in a bar or somewhere else that has an open mic night. I am not trying to be rude, that is just the impression I get.

My uncle is a musician and he and his band has a regular gig at a bar. He also has a day job because he has two kids to support. My sister also does some gigs, but her goal is not doing this full time. I'd like to think my grandpa performed, but that was a little before my time.

This is a public information service, brought to you on behalf of my next door neighbours, who were burgled (on Xmas Eve!) and had their camera and laptop stolen, which had pretty much all their photos of the first 6 months of their son's life. 

For christmas, I made grandparents, and aunts/uncles photo book of my twins from the newborn photoshoot. Each christmas they will get a year book of the kids, so that way they can enjoy it and the boys will have a nice memento as well.

@HereticHick I just checked Ashley's instagram and I don't know who the girl is but Lawson is once again carrying another baby. It's like carrying babies is his new thing like those doggone headphones used to be. He's replaced the headphones for other people's children

She's not his girlfriend. She's someone he did a music video with. The article is posted a few posts up

I'm a little confused, you mean the white girl in the photo where lawson is carrying a baby?

she is Kari Yancy or her sister, they are very similar. I have seen her mother in "missions" photos in the past.

On the new episode of BUB, some of the older girls are talking about their brothers and romantic prospects. Erin said that Lawson needs to wait "at least five or six years". The other girls were aghast, but frankly, she's right. He needs to mature.

Reasonably so because while he does get out of the house to do his music thing, unlike the women, being out on your own and experiencing life is important in becoming a mature adult. My experience ever since I left home for college was just that. I get to make these choices and live with them. I get a feel of what makes me tick. When I watch Lawson, we see that he wants to be a musician, but I think I read something from his grandma that he may want to enter the political arena. I'm only 20 and have no idea what to do because I am only 2 years out of being forced to take certain classes and being told what to learn.

Oh please, no Lawson the politician. Lawson the musician is insufferable, I can't imagine how bad he'd be in the political arena.

You are right -- when I graduated from high school, I had one future in my mind. Now I'm in my 50s, and very little is as I had expected, because I got to make choices all along. It's sad that most fundies don't get a chance to find their own way, they have to go with their parents' way.

However, Sadie Robertson would do so much better. She would need someone to respect how independent she is with her entrepreneurship. I don't see her as someone popping out one kids after another. Then, there is the cult stuff.

Lawson does seem to dote on the little ones.

Lawson and Sadie are a match made in fundie famewhore heaven. The families have important differences - the Robertsons have larger families than most Americans, but they clearly space their kids with birth control and some of their kids are adopted. And I don't see pretty-boy Lawson growing the Robertson beard and spending time in the swamp. Most importantly, the Robertsons attend Christian school; they don't homeschool. But I could definitely imagine Lawson and Sadie working out compromises on those issues and being a professionally famous fundie couple.

he needs to take the advice of a trained vocal coach and stick to weekly (if not twice weekly) lessons to improve, then also be coached in stage presence and working a crowd. It's not enough to be a bicep-wielding, headphone-wearing, baby-holding white man. You need to be able to work the crowd and have enough consistency with your act to keep them coming back.

His voice isn't horrendous, I've definitely heard worse. But a good years worth of dedicated lessons (and him actually working on it) could do wonders. I remember watching one clip where he went to Nashville (?) and met up with some relatively important coach and she advised him to try loosening the country twang in his vocals just a lil bit, open up the airways and relax the throat - he looked a little perplexed (probably because no one had ever taught him before) and just couldn't wrap his head around it. He has potential to be a D-list, fundie music star. If he works at it.
