You already know the answer, lol! Friends do talk with each other...

So Steve Maxwell finally fessed up to his FJ habit and put the word out?

FJ is not a secret. When a blog that features conservatives suddenly gets lots of hits, one understands where they are coming from.

Think a bit about who knows who, and then you will understand.

FJ doesn't snark on conservatives. There are plenty of Tea Party nuts, and none of them get a mention here unless they are also patriarchal religious nuts.

And very few of the people mentioned here admit to reading here.

No we don't know the answer and like most fundies you'll dance the dance until your legs get tired. Its not like we haven't witnessed this behavior before.

You have a favorite family that you talk about on this forum more then most. They are friends with myself and others in Alaska.

If you did read the travel blog, then you do know how things came out in the open.

Honestly, I do appreciate some things about this forum. There are things that happen in some families that never should.

And I for one find it refreshing when those things are not happening in a family that one would think does those things.

Could be I used the wrong term. Apologies. And true, knowledge of the forum does not mean it is read on a regular basis.

Oooh, it's gotta be the Maxwells. You'd think they'd have other things to focus on this weekend with the new baby.

I don't think Steve will like that you outed him.

Not quite. As stated, knowledge of forum does not equate reading it. Stats in a blog tell a great deal, as do the comments that do not quite seem right.

And you all are common knowledge, so its not a big deal. One gets used to such things.

And on that note, evening chores cannot wait any longer. Goats might pop their udders!

Oh, and at least you have never had to pay our food prices. $3-$4 for one bell pepper?

Please stop crying me a river, I don't have a boat! Yes, when I lived in way Northern Wisconsin in a tiny town of about 100 full-time residents I paid that much for peppers and tomatoes! However, I chose to live there at the time, as you chose (or your headship chose) to live in Alaska, you can go anywhere you want, or heck build a green house and grow your own damn peppers!

So are you simply a neighbor or part of the same religous group as the Buckinghams and Hales? I don't see Steve telling the heathens that FJ is talking about their neighbors.

But she's still logged into the forum. Those poor goats....

So what have we learned today class?

That the Hales went from one secretive cult to another, that peppers in AK can cost just as much as in the lower 48,and that $20K+ a year is small beans when it comes from a socialist govt. entitled program.

Class dismissed.

A gallon of milk, by the way.

There is a wealth of information out there on these families. Be mindful too the Buckinghams live in Palmer not far from Wassilla. I'm a long time reader of the Mudflats and these are the nonmainstream xtians that have been populating the area for the past few decades.

I hate when people release balloons into the air like that. What do they think happens to the latex and ribbon? It just sails off into outer space?

Yea lets use a horse and buggy at our wedding and tanks full of industrial helium  Who cares if birds get fouled in ribbons and dead balloons. I'm sure god will just make more of them.

Edited to add this link

Seems Papa B was the minister that married these two. Well technically Denali didn't lie, just didn't cop to Papa B being a minister.

Why do they have a blog if they don't want anyone to read it? If you don't want anyone to know about, and comment on your life, then you shouldn't really put it on the internet.

QFT. This is not a complicated concept.

I can't decide whether to laugh or ask why I didn't get my Secret FJ Agenda Handbook so I could be part of "such things".

Due to crowding?

Yet still people swim in full street clothes in a pool. It's not just about the crowding. All the rest of those campers find room in the hot spring in the daytime, and there are FAR more of them, in aggregate, than one family regardless of how large.

Mind, things went from absolute not okay horrible, to just normal "extreme" fundie, so yeah, it's a definite improvement (100% serious not snarking at all), but it's still fundie religious, which from my background is "fine, do what you want, but unfortunately you're still stuck in religion." Maybe there's still room yet to move.

Meanwhile if you think American prices for gas, even in AK/HI are high, you should travel the rest of the world (outside of the Middle East, they have even crazier subsidized cheap gas than the US). Speaking of which did this family have to refuel in Canada? Because it's quite a difference. I go to Canada fairly regularly myself and you better believe we always top off the tank in Michigan/Minnesota before we cross the border. But yeah the payments Alaska residents get they get do go to all residents, it's not any special arrangements for needy people or anything.

$9 a gallon I'm assuming is converted Canada prices, if you're from Alaska. Even yet that sounds high. Alaska gas right now is in the $4 range. Meanwhile the cheapest gas in Tokyo right now (according to the cheap gas finder) is over $6. Of course, why drive, there's good trains :)

As for that blog, it was for family and only for that one trip, so if they want to make it private, so be it I guess. I found it interesting just because it's people who are so very foreign to me. But the happy pictures of them travelling to places I've been (I went to the Great Sand Dunes, it's a great place) was nice to see. Even if they swim in business casual.

That's one beautiful horse.

If one wanted to avoid taxes one could probably trade a horse like that for a couple of hot rod skidoos.

But then you'd have to pay $9 a gallon to fuel it!
