The Pearls mention in BBC's Knowledge magazine.

I occasionally read the BBC's Knowledge magazine - whenever I can pick it up cheap off the guy in the market. Usually a month or so behind but hey, he only charges £1.

Got it today (Feb issue) and what do I find inside? An article about Pearls (sort of). Not mentioned by name, but if you read the article anyone who is familiar with To Beat the shit out of Train Up a Child will know it IS about the Pearls.

One of the things it mentioned was the culture of violence in the USA. It made for an interesting read. I had a look online and found the article.

So these countries mentioned treat their children better, educate them better, provide better health care and don't hit them? And the USA still claims it is the supposed best country ever? Did I miss something?

Well the USA might claim that, but that doesn't stop everyone else pissing themselves with laughter when they do!
