Ken Hutcherson, the former football player turned deranged anti-gay fundie preacher, appeared on a TV program in Washington and claimed that beating a child will keep him from being gay — and if your child turns out to be gay, it’s because of bad parenting.

The only thing I can say is this....

I know a few gay people who were spanked or hit as children by their parents.

One of my best friends who was lesbian was physically abused by her mother. I don't know about any other gay friends, though.

This makes me so angry. How many stupid parents have listened to this? How many of them will take his advice and beat their kids who might be gay, or just a bit different from their vision of what a "man" or "woman" should be? And how many have come to the same conclusion without listening to him? How many cold silences, how many abusive words, how much cruelty in any form exists because of idiots like him?

All those kids who suffer, for no reason at all. God help them. Somebody help them.

I just soaked my hair in Manic Panic's Atomic Turquoise and then streaked in some After Midnight. We'll see how it looks tomorrow! 💙

I hate these winds. They are absolutely HOWLING here in SoCal. Not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight because I'm so afraid we'll get sudden evacuation orders the way we did with the Woolsey fire in 2018. There's no way of knowing when and where a fire might crop up and once it does, there's no containing it in these winds. I'm praying for the safety of our brave firefighters. My heart is with everyone in the Pacific Palisades and in Eaton Canyon near Pasadena.

The world doesn't need more people. If people want to have children, that's fine, but there is no reason we have to keep having more people.

      Winter snack: crispy chickpeas
Preheat oven to 400 F. Drain and rinse a can of chickpeas, then toss in olive oil and whatever spices you like. I use fried chili crisp. Cook for 15 minutes, stir, another 15 minutes, stir, repeat until they're crispy and delicious. Good as a snack, on salads, etc.
I am sharing my super secret chili crisp source just because I love you guys:

Serious question: is there anything men hate more than a woman's strongly held opinion?
