The Bible says that children were to be stoned to death.â€

This refers not to a young child but to a youth who was a continual drunkard and was persistently rebellious, stubborn, gluttonous, and disobedient (which describes many contemporary teenagers). If a son consistently refused to abide by his parents’ authority, the men of the city were to enforce swift capital punishment.

Ray Comfort has made other statements that make it sound as if he afraid of teenage boys. because I have two sons, I've been around a lot of adolescent males. Almost all of them were polite, sweet kids.Sometimes I wonder if Ray Comfort actually wants to reach more Christians or is all of his work just some scam to get money from gullible people.

I really cannot stand Ray Comfort, he irritates the heck outta me and in my opinion a lot of what he says is double dutch!

Not to mention the mustache reminds me of a 70's porno.

 Does it mean I'm disturbed that I just pictured Ron Jeremy? (fully clothed of course....otherwise I would be having nightmares for the rest of my life).

Something must of really damaged his brain when he 'came to know the Lord' at age 22 in 1971, April 25th at 3 in the morning.

He must have been on acid in the 70s.

he also reminds me of a really bad quiz show host... its like hey lets spin the wheel and see what sin you've got! :-p

But thats probably because he looks like an old Price is Right and Wheel fo Fortune host we used to have here in Australia.. Ian Turpie

That's okay, there are plenty of other learless feeders who like teenage boyz just fine.....

And another keyboard sacrificed to the altar of FJ.

I think it's just another example of the crotchety old man: "The youth of today have no respect, I tells you..." and "Back in my day, we had to hike 20 miles through the snow in bare feet just to get to the bathroom. Uphill both ways. And we were grateful because we knew that the starving Africans didn't have any toilet facilities at all...".

I can remember being forced to watch this guy's videos back when i was a kid,in church. I remember the rants about the ~the dangers of new age beliefs~ and those ~goths who are all contemplating Columbine like massacres in their schools~. Needless to say, 2 years later I was what most consider to be goth. And I also started exploring new age spiritual practices. Neither of things things were just phases as they are both still a part of my lifestyle at 22 years old. Didnt shoot up a school though. I suppose Im gothlite

Ray Comfort is an ass.

Here's my post I left on his blog;

Quoting Comfort

"This refers not to a young child but to a youth..."

If you are going to argue over the age of the child then one must consider the age at which one became an adult in biblical times. This would be around the age of 12/13.

Anyone of the age of 12/13 would be considered an adult and would be referred to as either a young man or woman/maiden. Anyone 11 or under would be a child. Therefore it is quite apparent that these biblical commands are referring to the stoning of a child of 11 years or younger, not a teenager as you assert. Not that stoning someone over the age of 12 is perfectly acceptable of course.

Whether or not there any records of any child being stoned to death is beside the point; we can assume that some probably were as back then, as there is now, there will always be some people who will insist in carrying out judgements according to the exact standards of the laws. After all if god thought it unacceptable to stone a child to death, he would not have provided a law that permitted it.

When one considers all this one can only come to the conclusion that the god of the Old Testament was in fact a barbaric god.

Now I feel bad for laughing

And yeah, Ray Comfort bugs the hell out of me. Same with his douche-y sidekick, Kirk Cameron aka worst actor of the universe.
