I am one hairy motherfucker. I don't shave my pits but I can't say I relish the thought of the hair being more strong and fast-growing than it already is :P

Oooooh! I've been waiting for a Pedicure Thread! Some of you probably already know about it, but Seche Vite topcoat is AMAZING!

I read the reviews and some people say that it degrades in the bottle over time, but there is Seche Restore that you can buy to keep that from happening. I did my nails on Saturday afternoon and they still look perfect.

I love the Shellac gel nail polish. I am wearing Fedora which looks like a deep brownish burgundy that is almost black on me. I love it! I keep my fingernails short and squared off. For my pedi I chose black for Halloween. Looks great.

To switch to a more interesting topic, what are the big mani/pedi colors right now? My daughters were in love with bright colors (every nail a different color) with the crackle silver or black over them, but they are so over it now. I am thinking about going back to blue--dd and I are probably having her first dye party soon with my sister, and blue seems to be in first place for hair color. Would it be too matchy to coordinate hair color and nail polish?

Blues are in for fall - a lot of polish brands are doing 'denim' collections.

If you want to be incredibly on trend, magnetic polishes are the next big thing right now. I think they look ridiculous, but regardless, it's going to be major.

I waver back and forth between Seche Vite (which i am actually using right now) and Poshe. Seche Vite isn't big 3 free and irritates my eyes, plus it seems to draw up the polish around the cuticle, whereas Poshe doesn't have that problem. But Seche Vite is somewhat shinier than Poshe. It also depends on what type of polish you use. SV tends to work better with big 3 polishes, where Poshe works better for those without.

Have you guys seen this?

I'm dying to try it but I don't have, you know, three hours to tape my fingers up. Looks sooooo cool though!

I've done this! It only took me about 30 minutes per hand, so not quite 3 hours ;) . But the taping was really tedious. If I did it again it would be easier.

To whoever posted it, the newspaper nails look AWESOME. I'm totally trying this!

Someone give me some tips on neatness, please? My left hand gets smudged like crazy, and even my right hand always ends up with a smudge. That's actually why I tried the water marbling, with the tape I knew only my nails would get painted, and once I dipped I didn't have to worry about using the fingers again to do my other nails. I am not coordinated at all.

What my mum does is dip...I think Americans call it q-tip? A cotton bud on a stick...in nail polish remover and run it carefully around the edge of her nail where polish would smudge or run over. Then if any does, it won't stick and can quickly be removed.
