Yes. It’s a place name meaning “face of God.” It’s mostly mentioned in the first few books of the Old Testament.

Lawon and Tiffany: William Franklin for a boy.

Girl - can't decide. Thinking something trendy and made-up sounding which somehow manages to honor Lawson. I'm not a big fan of the Bates' naming style.

Based on their gift grab registry, which was almost entirely neutral other than a couple of blue items, I think they're having a boy. No matter how much Tiffany admires the current beige baby aesthetic, I don't think they would pass up the chance to stick a few bows and pink items on the list.

I believe Gilvin is reserved for the oldest Bates son of each generation.

That's probably true. I just looked it up, and it's also Zach's middle name so it's a family thing. Kind of like Kelton is in his family.

Yes, the Bates parents did name their first few boys after others. Zachary Gilvin is after William Gilvin Bates Jr (Gil) and Papa Bill. William Lawson is after Papa Bill and Gil. Kenneth Nathaniel is after Kelly’s dad Kenneth.

Lawson-Tiff. I think it's a boy and they already know it and that's why choose a neutral registry. They will pretend to be shocked about the sex in an over-the-top reveal.
