Yeah - I think if he says ONE ex is crazy but seems normal otherwise, then that's a red flag to be extra careful and verify as much as possible.

If someone says ALL their exes are crazy? They're the crazy one, and that's a clue to RUN.

I’m thinking of my husband when we first started dating. He did have an ex with mental health issues and had a pretty severe mental health crisis and he talked about her with empathy and didn’t dehumanize her. Which I much appreciated. Because I swear I would have walked away if he had described her as crazy.
