Does anyone know what Laura does for IBLP? Also, where does she ostensibly live? Is she teleworking from the girls’ room or what?

I’ve always thought that there might have been some incident that shortened his leash. The other possibility is that he’s too lazy (and, uh, distracted) to make much $ from the car lot, so he sold the house because he needed the money, then threw himself on JB’s mercy.

Yes, remember when he came back to NWA, he and Anna were in a house they bought while still in DC and  before things imploded with the molestations and he was booted out of the FRC.   IIRC they moved back into that house but then the Ashley Madison scandal hit and he was off to Jesus Jail.  Think Anna then stayed at the TTH while he was in JJ but after his return can't remember how long they were in that separate house before they moved to the warehouse.   Always figured it was likely for $$ they sold the house but seeing they lived on the compound after that, got me wondering if Joshley did something.

Between this and the fact that I'm getting my covid booster in 2 hours my anxiety is through the roof (I really don't like needles)

i'll be thinking of you!  i got mine today and my arm hurts a bit, but so far no other side effects.  i apologized to the nurse when i flinched; he said i did fine.

For CSAM? would he still be under house arrest/ankle monitor?  That seems like a long time for this kind of crime. Does the judge have any latitude in that?   I'm not doubting it....it just seems long.

I agree. Even if Josh is the eldest and enjoyed privileged status, he has caused so many problems. And he lost them the show twice. They may feel that it will be a relief for the whole family to have him off their hands. I imagine it’s complicated with all the religious teaching of forgiveness and the rest and whatever warped feelings of attachment might still be there.

I wish I could hear the a Bible verse explanations for everything. Like is this a “wipe the dust off your feet” moment? Will they disown him if he doesn’t repent? I wonder if there was some obscure Bible verse reason Michelle isn’t there. When I finally want the talking head lecture to explain to us just the right Biblical way to handle this kind of situation and what to believe and think about it, TLC is nowhere to be found! While IBLP manual covered what  survivors should think or feel, they don’t seem to have a manual explaining the spiritual dynamics for the offender and his enablers. Do JB and Michelle just have to make it up on the fly?

I want the tell all to include the kind of deprogramming  needed to unwrap all the convoluted cult reasoning.

Pros IT witness James Fotrell called back to the stand as rebuttal witness.

Creative Director, whatever that means in their context.

Defense had 2 witnesses according to The Sun

Awkward run-in?

Anna Duggar has been sitting in the first row during the trial, according to the Sun reporter, and Derick Dillard has regularly been sitting by her.

During a small break on Tuesday, Jim Bob Duggar went to the first row to hug her and talk to her.

The Sun reporter noted that Jim Bob passed Derick and said “hello," and that Derick said hi back, but suggested the interaction seemed awkward.

After that interaction, Jim Bob remained in the first row. Derick moved to sit with other family members in another row.

Defense actually called two witnesses.  The other was was a former officer involved in the search warrant.

I think it was all in the name of asset protection. Didn’t the house get sold to an LLC or something of that notion?

I’m way behind. How are real time updates getting reported if no recording equipment is allowed in court?

On another note. I have my zoom session with my shrink at 5:00 do you think she would mind if I kept checking my phone during our session

Any idea what the officer testified to?

I'd expect the prosecution to call atleast one expert to undo some of the confusion.

I hope smuggles enjoys his last night before conviction.

I don’t. I hope he has terrible nightmares, barfs due to nerves and has even bigger eye bags tomorrow.

Thinking about it, seem to remember that yes, the house was sold to an LLC or something like that.  Maybe around the time Danica Dillon lawsuit?

Sadly, this is unlikely.  He likely will have a presentence review/report done and will be free until February or March.

So he’s just free to abuse more minors and look up more child porn until March?!

That is so dangerous, what will he do if he feels he has nothing to lose?

Did they know? Did Anna, JB or the siblings know how weak the defense would be? Or do you think Josh told them he was going to ace this? Will they be stunned right now ore have they been grieving already and was the laughing and joking the Sun reported about the kind of after-funeral relief?

My speculation is Josh was delaying the inevitable as long as possible and hoping it would somehow work out….like it always has. So lie, lie, lie - with confidence - and avoid the repercussions. Especially if he knew he was going to jail, he could milk the empathy and not have to face their horror. He could say over and over he was innocent….if he even saw them. If that’s the case, maybe he’s counting on going directly to jail. It would be easier.

My guess he’s been lying so long he doesn’t even know or care about the truth now. Clearly if he had told the truth, they would have not done this defense.

"After a brief interaction with Jim Bob Duggar, Derick Dillard moved to the other row to sit with Jason Duggar, Joy-Anna Duggar - who came to the courtroom after lunch - her husband, Austin Forsyth, Jana Duggar, and a friend of Jana's."

So it looks like Joy did attend, just not for the morning half. Perhaps she had other commitments or wanted to get an idea of the schedule for the court day before she felt comfortable attending.

It seems so. Was that all boob could afford?

I think they had 4 possible witnesses, two of them tech “experts.”  I think the second tech expert was just going to support the first one’s findings and these have been challenged enough, so they gave up.  The other two possibles might have been “character” witnesses and they opted against using them, maybe?

This article is a good summation of everything that happened before 3pm, I don’t think I saw anyone post it yet. The only sensitive content I saw was the name of one of the photo sets.

I don't know, I know when my son was convicted of arson (torching his own boat to collect insurance money) they had the presentance report already done at the time of conviction.  It basically was a report on his criminal history.

Well, they moved out of the house, so it was sold for real.
