This is seriously pathetic. I don’t know about the rest of you, but with a few exceptions, most of the people I know realized around age 30 that when we were younger we were all just trying to get through adolescence while experiencing all the deep pain and deep joy it brings so we stopped caring who was “cool” or “nerdy” or “a burnout” or whatever and just started to see each other as people. Weirdly it’s when we all stopped caring that we started really appreciating the different ways we all are “cool” because “cool” looks different now than it did back then. Junior is still so desperate to find someone to give him approval or at least say he is “cool” that he can’t see if he would stop trying so hard, someone worthwhile would find him “cool”. 
 

And if he wasn’t such an asshole I would feel bad for him.
