As you may have caught in the update I added to yesterday’s blog, or from my posts on Twitter and Facebook, I did test positive for the coronavirus. Since I made those announcements, I have received an outpouring of positivity from friends, readers, and colleagues. One post alone generated over 600 reactions and over 300 comments. Many people have even offered to bring me food (I rarely turn down food) or just to come by and check up on me, which I guess would be done by standing in the street and shouting up to my apartment. I want to thank everyone for that.

I have also received comments telling me it’s a hoax, or it’s nothing special, or it’s no worse than the flu, that the statistics are lies, that it’s overhyped by Democrats and the media, and assorted blah blah blah bullshit blah blah.

I saw a report this morning on CNN that doctors and nurses in South Dakota have had patients denying the existence of the virus all the way to their deaths. This is insane. And the guy Donald Trump leans on for his main coronavirus advise, Dr. Scott Atlas, is helping feed bullshit to those people.

Dr. Atlas isn’t just giving really bad medical advice to the president (sic) of the United States and the public. Dr. Scott Atlas is engaging in stochastic terrorism. What’s “stochastic terrorism?” It’s when you feed fear to the public, aimed at a target, until the people you have riled up engage in terrorism against that target.

When white domestic terrorists in Michigan tried to take Donald Trump’s advice to “liberate” their state and kidnap their governor, Gretchen Whitmer, they were provoked by stochastic terrorism. Now, Dr. Atlas has encouraged them to once again engage in terrorism by telling them to “rise up”

In Michigan, the state is putting forth new measures to fight the virus. Earlier in the year, a bunch of MAGA goons stormed the state capitol building in Lansing, armed with automatic weapons and hate symbols, demanding that there be no measures to fight the virus, such as a mask mandate. Donald Trump told them to “liberate Michigan.”

Some of these goons engaged in a plot to kidnap the governor. A few days after that was foiled by the FBI, Donald Trump held a hate rally in Michigan where participants chanted “lock her up” in reference to Whitmer. Did Donald Trump tell them to stop or offer any discouragement to the chant? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Are you new here?

A few days ago, Atlas, who’s more of a Trump goon than a doc, tweeted, “The only way this stops is if people rise up! You get what you accept. #FreedomMatters #StepUp.”

Previously, Atlas has tweeted that masks don’t prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, a doctor who actually specializes in viruses (Atlas does not), went after Atlas for his “rise up” tweet.

Atlas is a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. The school released a statement saying, “Stanford’s position on managing the pandemic in our community is clear. We support using masks, social distancing, and conducting surveillance and diagnostic testing. We also believe in the importance of strictly following the guidance of local and state health authorities. Dr. Atlas has expressed views that are inconsistent with the university’s approach in response to the pandemic. Dr. Atlas’s statements reflect his personal views, not those of the Hoover Institution or the university.”

Later, Atlas defended his “rise up” tweet and act of stochastic terrorism by saying he’s just “not very good at Twitter.”

Atlas said, “literally thousands of emails I get from people all over the country, begging me to figure out how to end the lockdowns, including from family members of people who have died by suicide amid restrictions. And so what I meant, and I’m sorry I’m not very articulate on Twitter, is that basically if you want to change things you have to have your voices heard. I didn’t mean anything more than that.”

Yes, it’s horrible that some people have taken their own lives during this pandemic. It’s horrible it’s led to some domestic violence and spousal abuse. It’s horrible it’s added to people’s depression. I’ve heard conservatives use this argument repeatedly. But, fucknuts…has depression, suicide, or domestic violence caused by pandemic restrictions led to over 240,000 deaths?

Dr. Atlas, it’s not that you suck at Twitter. You suck at life.

Donald Trump may as well be taking his legal advice from Dr. Atlas and his medical advice from Rudy Giuliani. Either way, he’ll probably end up at a porn book store and someone will end up in a car trunk.
