I wonder which Republicans would scream corruption the loudest if Biden hired his relatives in White House positions.

All of them.

Well, they would all yell, but, c'mon, we know who would be the loudest.

Just saw this twitter account out there...

I do wonder if Mr. Biden will be 46 or 47.  If the fuck nugget decides to resign so Pence can try to pardon him they may have to change the name to Transition47.  (I saw there's an account out there with that name so I hope that was the President-Elect's team being smart and grabbing that name right away).  Course since there's a chronic backstabbing disorder in the White House I wonder if President Pence would let Donny Dumbshit twist in the wind.  It would be fifty kinds of delicious if that happened.

I would wager that Biden’s team was savvy enough to reserve both transition46 and 47.

Has Trump had a sign language interpreter in any of the events?

Well I could sign to fuck nugget a translation what my feelings are about him.  As in two middle fingers extended.

I'm looking forward to finding out what her projects will be - something education-related, I hope!

I'm looking forward to every bit of news about Cabinet choices and their plans.

I'm looking forward to actually having an executive branch again, instead of a pack of fascists and toadying sycophants.

As a former executive branch employee (US Forest Service and Soil Conservation Service -- now Natural Resources Conservation Service -- which are both under the Department of Agriculture), I always took great interest in presidential cabinet appointments.  They had a much more direct impact on my daily life, in most cases, than the individuals who happened to be in the White House.

And even though I'm no longer a federal employee, I think that is still true in terms of environmental policy, energy policy, education funding and programs, etc.

Had to share this norwegian cartoon;

(Translation, even if it can't be properly translated: "Are you standing here lying, you *insert northern Norway swear phrase that can't be translated properly*"

. "Get out of the White House before I shove this fish up were the sun never shines with a running start!".

"I had the most amazing dream about the late Hanna Kvanmo! ...do I really want to hear this....?"

FB_IMG_1604857255803.jpg

And for context: Hanna Kvanmo was a socialist politician from the poorest part of the population, who had an imense influence on norwegian politics in her day.

Does anyone know anything about this Christopher C Miller?  Just a place holder or is he someone willing to get dirty for Trump's end game?

He just fired Defense Secretary Esper!

He probably found out that there are reports on social media that Esper had already prepared his resignation letter.

I know nothing about him. It scares me a bit that he's putting an obvious sycophant (who else would be willing to work for Trump?) in this position of power. Is Trump attempting to get the military on his side by doing this? What is he planning?

Pence and Nikki Haley take credit for/thank Trump for the news on the vaccinne.

Pfizer points out they refused government money, the administration had nothing to do with it, and that they move at the speed of science and only science dictates vaccine progress.

Trump hates him.  Esper had been working with congress to write into law that the military bases named after confederates be changed.

Esper had the power to order them changed, but Trump has veto power and said he would use it, so Esper has been trying to get it into law rather than a directive.

I've found that Miller was only considered by Congress in his previous position last April, and was only sworn in last August.

Here's his bio:

He began his military career as an enlisted Infantryman in the Army Reserve in 1983 and also served in the District of Columbia National Guard as a Military Policeman.  He was commissioned as an Infrantry Lieutenant in 1987.  In 1993, he transferred to Special Forces.  Director Miller participated in the initial combat operations in Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003 with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), in addition to many follow-on deployments to both theaters.  He also has extensive inter-agency and joint special operationsl experience.

President-elect Joe Biden unveiled Monday members of his COVID-19 advisory board and it includes Rick Bright, a former Trump administration whistleblower who resigned amid allegations his early warnings over the pandemic were ignored

I want to be a fly on the wall too many places these days.

THAT SON OF A BITCH!

Just days after U.S. voters went to the polls to help deny President Donald Trump another four years in the White House, the Trump administration issued a little-noticed rule freezing the wages of farm laborers working under H-2A visas, a move that could severely harm low-wage guest workers who have already been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

These people have next to nothing, how fucking dare he?!

Michigan court tells Trump legal team they screwed up another complaint: ‘Your submission is defective’

Quote

President Donald Trump’s legal team is stuck again as it appears their court filings in Michigan were unsuccessful.

A letter from the Michigan Court of Appeals explained “This office has received your papers in the above captioned matter. I regret to inform you that your submission is defective because it was not accompanied by the following:”

The filing required a copy of the judgment appealed, a copy of the lower court docket entries, a copy of the transcript or evidence that the transcript has been ordered and five copies of a brief.

Trump has 21 days to correct the errors if they intend to move the case forward.

he news came on the heels of a CNN interview with Trump supporters who anticipate that the election will make it to the Supreme Court to decide the election.

“I think this will get to the Supreme Court. I’m not sure how or what state or what avenue, but Trump has very high-powered lawyers, some of the top people in the country, so they will find a way I’m sure,” said 57-year-old Trump supporter Christine Stellabotte.

Does Trump think his usual tactics of dragging things out in the courts is going to prevent the Electoral College from voting on December 14? Does he believe that if only he can get his filings up to the SC that his three stooges will rule to keep him in office?

Here's the official ruling:

Sadly, I think that's exactly what he believes. I sincerely hope the American justice system is better than that...

Fascinating but terrifying article by Dr. Bandy Lee, head of the World Mental Health Coalition.

https://www.salon.com/2020/11/09/psychiatrist-bandy-lee-trumps-election-meltdown-is-most-dangerous-period-of-this-presidency/

She gives her professional opinion on what we might expect from Trump and his supporters in what she calls, "the most dangerous time of his presidency."

With compulsory voting do you have a "none of above" option if you can't in good conscious vote for either candidate?

We don’t have a ‘none of the above’ option but there are many ways to show that you can’t vote for someone on the ballot.

I think that 45’s arrogance is so colossal that he’d never step down; he just thinks that purchasing the most vitriolic lawyers money can buy will get him everything he wants.

They may have deactivated their Facebook accounts and moved to Parler. I have noticed many of my Trump cult followers talking about it today. It is a safe space that will not censor them.

A few of my relatives on my husband's side posted they were going to be part of a big FB exit to Parler on November 13th.  Rather than just going now, they have to make a big. flouncing deal of it.

So, after 4 years of ignoring their Trumpy posts, I'm finally getting rid of them apparently.  SAD! (not).

So anyone doing what a reasonable person would do in order to continue to earn a living would be fired.

that will leave quite the brain trust behind.

I saw President elect Biden on TV this morning. It was such a relief to not panic at what stupidity Trump would have been spouting. Every time Trump came on tv, I wanted to run and hide. My father was a soft spoken, kind man. Many people described him as the best, most honest man they had ever known. My FIL was the same. People said if you had a problem with him, the problem was yours. It's like hearing them both speaking when Biden speaks. Reassuring that the world will be all right. I know Trump still has ways of making life hell and Biden cannot fix stupidity, but life feels so good right now.

Really they should all just up and quit now. Rip off the bandaid, and be done with it.

In a normal administration that would be a massive emergency, but in this one? Eh. The fewer people there to pander to Trump's crazy demands, the better.
