I spent some time looking online but can't find the clip.

I distinctly remember a scene with Anna in her bedroom making her bed or something. She mentioned babies and what not. They she patted Josh'so side of the bed and said when he turns down the sheet earlier than bed time it is an indication or signal he wants sex that night.

I remember it so well because

A. I WAS EMBARRASSED that she would reveal something so private.

B. I was embarrassed that she would reveal something so intimate about their sex life, that was so condescending thinking it was normal.

C. Embarrassed that he was in charge of initian,  and it seemed that she had no control over her own needs being met.

Do.  I was left wondering where in the world Josh got such a cold , robotic attitude towards intimacy.

And sadly after the scandal came out the realization that bedding Anna was a function only probably to relieve her hinting about sex. It made her nudging and hint hint, towards sex on their talking head clip during their road trip painfully real.

E.  IT EXPOSED josh's lack lustre response to Anna's pregnancy reveal when she wakes up Josh and piles the kids on bed on top of him.

Do you remember anything else about the episode? If they had Mac or any of the other kids. I have some of the DVDs of the show from before Marcus was born

Here is my take on holiday greetings.  That's all I have to say on the subject.

Well, this thread has been fun!   We have almost five grandchildren.  One son and his wife brought cupcakes over for dessert one night, and the insides were PINK!  How horrific.  That poor child

The child will have a sex, saying that the baby is a male or female isn't being an asshole. If the child later tells you that their gender doesn't match their sex and you continue to call them what th

@Yaoichan12  Marcus was already born but he was still and infant a year or a little younger. I could have sworn it happened in the house they were renting when they first moved to DC. I remember this happening before they announced Meredith's pregnancy. Maybe I am confusing things. Thanks for the help!

@Fluffy14 I do remember a scene with Anna in her bedroom and an interviewer asked her how she knew that Josh was in the mood. My memory of her response was something like "he makes the bed" Or "he turns down the bed." This scene definitely happened and I was mortified that she was asked such a personal question. It would be fun to find the clip.

Wasn't that the time they also asked Michelle how Jim Bob let her know he was in the mood? And then the rest of the family commented on it and joked about it? I really want to believe I'm misremembering, but I don't think I am! :my_sick:

It's really time for some brain bleach. :brainbleach: I guess in JB's case, he doesn't even have to indicate anything. He just embarrasses his wife on the golf course. :output_eeMbjt:

On that note: I can't believe Anna was asked such a personal question. How very distasteful of the producers to think that was even remotely appropriate.

And Anna has probably never been taught that, "None of your beeswax!" is a perfectly valid response to an invasive question like that, or that she doesn't have answer to answer any rude questions at all just to be polite.

Her response is so sad though. I get that subtle signals that you're in the mood are probably necessary with all those little kids running around their house, especially the toddlers in their, "I want to repeat everything I hear you say" phase, but folding back the sheet as a signal seems so cold, like something out of "The Handmaid's Tale." Poor Anna.

Didn't they ask all the married couples incredibly personal questions regarding their private lives in the episode. I remember seeing the episode trailer, but never watched the actual episode. Honestly, their lives are essentially so boring and predictable I can't figure out why TLC keeps it going. I mean this family doesn't teach us anything and just makes me agree with the poster who called the channel The Lowliest Crap. Frankly can they bring back showing surgery or actual attempt to teach the audience something. After all PBS keeps themselves afloat and actually gives their audience a chance to learn something.

I'm probably just a lookeeloo but I totally don't mind when the adults are asked personal questions like that. But agreed- "none of your biz!" should be a option in how they can respond.

I don't remember the bedsheets thing, but I believe I haven't seen a lot of episodes post-Josie and pre-Jill/Jessa courtships, and it sounds like it would have been in that area.

I know they scrub awkward things from the show from time to time, but something I'm shocked that was allowed to keep existing is Anna's "vibrator" subplot. Sooo much secondhand embarrassment there. And after Joshgate 2, I'm sure she knows a lot more about sexy things outside of baby-making acts.

Another new article from Us Weekly:

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-moms/news/anna-duggar-says-kids-adore-newborn-mason-after-long-labor-w504924

(Basically, the first paragraph or two is new and the rest is old. Kind of like every fucking episode of Counting On.)

Ah—come on. The kid was born in the wee hours. Josh wasn’t napping! He was full-on sleeping through the night.

And are they going to cancel their mission now that their hero Donald Trump is insulting Puerto Ricans and saying they want everything done for them? I mean on every other issue these people seem to put Trump ahead of Jesus, so why not now?

My uncle just died from COVID. He wasn’t that much older than I am, so I kind of grew up with him. Just ten days ago my mom had been pleading with him to get vaccinated, but he wanted to wait to make sure the shots were really safe. I’m kind of devastated.

I just found out my little bonus kid is in a treatment center on a suicide watch tonight. He and I share a hobby and a couple weeks back he opened up to me that he's severely depressed and was wanting to hurt himself. I let his parents know and thankfully he had also been talking to them. I'm just heartbroken because him being in this center means that his parents had to call 911 and have him admitted and I know that was so hard for them to do. He's a young kid and has his whole life ahead of him but just wants to end it all and I don't know how to help him.

Middle aged woman with mommy issues...but missing her today.
She got so much wrong with me, but she had the best intentions and tried so hard.
She got so much right, too.  I forget that sometimes.  Sometimes I remember and dismiss it out of spite.
“They did the best they could with the tools they had.”  I forgot where I first heard that but I’ve carried it with me like a mantra since my parents passed.   They truly did.  Whatever else was missing, whatever I needed that they couldn’t give, the love was always there.

      Always.
      That’s something.
My confidence in my own abilities.  Faith in my own power.  My own strength.  They gave me that, too.
      That’s also something.
They’re why I’m messed up, but they’re also why I’m okay.

      Shit’s complicated.
She died before I figured out how smart she really was.  Sad thing is I don’t think ever figured that out for herself.
Ignore me - just crying in my car waiting to pick up my son.
