It's wrong, and yet not the worst theory. Staying away from stuff that smells bad, isn't the worst kind of idea. And people got that one, but in the absence of knowledge of germs, viruses and bacteria, it was hit and miss. Plus, what do you do if your recently deceased relative smells bad, after having died of the plague, social conventions compel you to deal with them (wash, lay out, perfume, bury), when you have no knowledge?

Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT arguing against your point. What I am saying is that it's rather easy to look back, and judge, when really, in 200 years people will look back and wonder what on earth we were doing. We are limited by what we know, and unlimited by what we have yet to discover!

@samurai_sarah I definitely agree with you there. I'm afraid I'm not very eloquent in getting my point across. Believe me it sounded a lot more profound in my head . The evolution of scientific theories fascinate me. I meant more so the origin of these diseases. For example certain cancers can be linked to environmental exposures. Some are linked to genetics. Did people 500 years ago have a knowledge of microbiology mechanisms. To them it may have seemed rather random. I hope I'm explaining myself clearly.

There are online forums of women who swear that they are pregnant (sometimes for months) but for some reason they have negative pregnancy tests and their fetus doesn't show up on ultrasound .  Seriously delusional false pregnancy.

I have to say, I think it's kind of funny how people keep saying it's the "never ending pregnancy" when they only announced the pregnancy 5-ish months ago. We won't have as long a wait between announcement and birth as we did with Jessa and Jill yet people are so antsy! Interesting how not having a due date to go off of can make the time seem so much longer!

I wonder if they found out (and announced) he was a boy a few weeks earlier than usual after they had one of those blood tests rather than an ultrasound.

In my opinion, the only reason this pregnancy seems so long is we've seen so little of Anna. Heaps of people on here jumped up and down after they announced saying she'd deliver before Jill because if publicity, false timelines or whatever.

She announced (with the sex) 6 weeks after Jill announced the sex of her second child.  Jill gave birth 7ish weeks ago. She's due right around now.

My original September 14 guess now seems a little too optimistic, but I never really understood the whole "she's further along than Jill!!" discussions.

But yeah, I think it seems so long because we know so little information and have only had a few Anna sightings. It's probably not a bad thing though. The longer this guy's, the longer we'll have to wait for M6 (to hopefully not appear because of many reasons!)

Baby Dilly Watch #1 was essentially the worst thing ever. I want to forget it ever happened. It was only that insane because it was the first Duggar daughter to reproduce, though. I don't think we'll see anything like it again.

Until one of them is pregnant with twins.
