Alternative Facts with Kellyanne Conway

This photo says it all. This woman has zero respect and no home training. In what world is it ok to put dirty feet and shoes on the furniture? The Oval Office is the sitting room of the nation, how dare she receive guests like that? Her poor attempt at being coquettish with legs cocked open in a dress reeks of desperation. I bet she thinks she looks cute.

Remember that time a black man was in the same room without a suit jacket? Where's the etiquette police now?

I love what Stephen Colbert had to say about Conjob:

Quote

He also took a jab at Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, who was back in the news earlier in the day over a photo showing her kneeling on an Oval Office couch. Although Conway has been a favorite mark among late-night comics, Colbert did not reference any specific incident. But he showed a clip from Trump's address in which the president said he had placed a hiring freeze on “nonmilitary and nonessential federal workers.”

“Nonessential federal workers,” Colbert repeated. “So Kellyanne Conway is out? … You will be missed.”

From his lips to Drumpf's ears.

You know, the thing that ticks me off most about this whole Kellyanne on the couch thing is: it makes women look bad. No man would sit like a toddler on the couch. Women don't need help being looked down on by men in power, don't give them more ammo.

"Upon completion of our inquiry, we concluded that Ms. Conway acted inadvertently and is highly unlikely to do so again," says the letter, signed by Stefan C. Passantino, a White House deputy counsel for compliance and ethics.

"highly unlikely to do so again" {laughing like Beavis and Butthead}

Sadly, I know several people who were heavily into those alternative facts.

He's black and has a funny name. Not so much Barack as the Hussein part. I mean, how could you not be a Muslim with Hussein as part of your name. PROOF! Right there! And hey, his father is  from Kenya! PROOF again! Why being Kenyan means you're a socialist Muslim, I don't know, but there it is. And if you still aren't convinced, well he went to school in Indonesia, and it was a radical MUSLIM school. He was indoctrinated. Doesn't matter that it was only for twoish years. That indoctrination is fierce.

It means absolutely nothing to them that the only 100% true part of any of this is that his dad was from Kenya. You can not argue with these people. They are so convinced of their alternative facts, there's no room for reality. They think I'm the deluded one. We don't talk much anymore.

So what if he is Muslim? There isn't supposed to be a 'religious test' for public office, but we all know there is.

Of course, Conjob, of course you didn't mean to have your feet on the couch (with you shoes still on). You were forced by somebody to to sit like that. It's not like you could have kneeled on the floor or something. No, they made you sit sideways on the couch like that so that you had to twist your body uncomfortably in order to make a picture from that specific angle. Because the person taking the photograph of you, that journalist with his professional camera,  couldn't have taken that specific angle at all. Nope. They needed you to do it with your phone instead. Riiiiiight...

Yes! This. There is an official WH photographer and a room full of journalists with professional cameras. Sorry, Kellyanne no one needed you to take a cell phone picture. Leave your phone in your office and act like a professional adult.

Why was she even there?  She seems entirely unnecessary in this administration.

I was so angry that CBS Sunday Morning featured kconjob. I need to write an email expressing my displeasure. I'm a long-time watcher, from back in the Charles Kuralt days, but if they are going to start "humanizing" the Branch Trumpvidians, I'll watch something else. She kept whining about how this job is sooooooo hard on her kids and that she didn't need it, because her polling company was soooooooo successful. Fine, honey, then quit and get out of our faces.

Oh, boo fucking hoo.  How hard is it on the kids of parents who have to work three jobs to make ends meat?  Hell, I work 12 hours a day.  I get my ass out of bed at 3:30am to go to my stressful job so that I can get home at a decent hour and still have time to spend with my kids.  There are a lot of people worse off than you Kellyanne.  Suck it up and quit your bitching or turn in your resignation.

Bleech.  Kellyanne is back on TV Trumpsplaining  Trump on wire tapping in Trump Tower.

ETA: I'd forgotten in the last few days how much she pisses me off.  For the paranoid base, she's planting these ideas that there are lots of ways to spy on people, so maybe "they" were surveilling Trump through a TV or some other device.

Maybe he should wear one of these. Melania can have one too. Just in case "they" try to get to him through her. His and hers tin foil hats!

"Kellyanne Conway on surveillance: ‘I’m not in the job of having evidence’"

Quote

Kellyanne Conway was doing okay. She’d effectively neutralized the bubbling outcry over comments she made to the Bergen Record, in which she defended President Trump’s evidence-free claims of wiretapping by noting that various household devices could be used to surveil a target. “You can surveil people through their phones, through their — certainly through their television sets, any number of different ways. And microwaves that turn into cameras, et cetera,” she’d said, comments that were more about Team Trump’s long-standing use of isolated anecdotes to rebut broad trends than they were about Conway auditioning for a role in a James Bond film.

So when Chris Cuomo brought the whole thing up on CNN’s “New Day,” she effectively repeated the dismissal she had given to ABC News earlier: She was talking generally about how spying could take place, not making specific allegations.

On CNN, though, her phrasing was a bit more fraught. “I’m not Inspector Gadget,” she said. “I don’t believe people are using the microwave to spy on the Trump campaign.”

“However,” she continued, “I’m not in the job of having evidence. That’s what investigations are for. I have said many, many times throughout the week that the president is pleased that the House and Senate intelligence committees have agreed that this should be part of the investigation that already exists about Russia and the campaign, an investigation that apparently has gone nowhere so far.”

...

Former senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan once famously said that “everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts.” It’s a smart assertion, but an outdated one. These days, people apparently don’t need to have any facts at all.

She is off her rocker.
