Noooo! To Facebook. They'll look at the video, deem it's appropriateness and remove it if necessary.

Oh ok lol. That occurred to me later but at the time I just thought like CPS since people had suggested this blog lady should be reported.

I thought she was done posting forever? Has she decided to just post recipes forever and ever? Will we never know anymore about how her husband cheated on her and how she forgives him but she will never let him forget?

I haven't read the whole blog, but why would you report a naked toddler video that your friend posted to Facebook?

There's nothing remotely sexual about naked babies/toddlers. Given the slightest opportunity, they like to run around naked. Perfectly normal. I'd rather leave Facebook free to deal with actual problems.

True but not everyone on the net looks at pictures of naked toddlers innocently. This is the type of thing that pedeophilies love. People don't think when they post things on the internet that it's forever and it's public. If the toddler decides in 20 years that they don't want naked videos of them being perused by all and sundry, they have no recourse so FB has rules.

Yeah, this is not from my first-hand experience, but the clinician who supervises me in my mental health internship worked with the penal system straight out of college, and she said that, in one of her sex crimes groups, the more savvy pedophiles said that they learned in prison to collect pictures and video of scantily clad/nude children from social media rather than actual child pornography because it wasn't something they could be prosecuted for after their parole or probation ended.

This completely changed how I looked at things - I had a couple of underwear and bubble bath pictures of my little niece (my FB is on major lockdown, because of my job - you can't even search me), and I snatched those right down and told my family to do the same. It is so, so easy to copy pictures now. That doesn't mean you can't have those pictures (the bath one is framed over my TV), I would suggest you NOT share them publicly. Like, EVER.

So why not message a friend instead of reporting her to Facebook?

I dunno... I did both. I reported it and then sent her a message explaining why.

I was unsure of what to do (we are more acquaintances, really), and it seemed that saying, "Take that photo down or I'll report you" sounded more threatening than reporting it and then sending her a message explaining why-- that I had just read about a woman whose child had ended up on a porn site from a completely innocent picture and I hated the idea of that happening.

I could have been wrong-- perhaps the first would have been better.

So, first off, I want to thank you all.

I had run across the cheating posts awhile back and didn't have to time to deeply study and peruse and think. I skimmed them and was like, "Wow! What a change!" and went on my way. Shortly after, came the "feelings" post and on a slow day at work I read all the "hate" threads she was speaking against. I mean, with a reaction like that, you've gotta see who's been stirring the pot and with what!!!

And so I got to thinking, looking, studying: seeing through what she was posting.

So, thanks. I really appreciate open thinkers like you to help out the ADD people like me who don't always slow down and take the time to look at all the angles.

Not gonna kick a dead horse and rehash everything you all have said, but in agreement: yeah! To it all.

On that note, without being extremely wise in essential oils, I did just stumble across this article. Again, reiterating I haven't studied either the Young Living oils or the doTerra, but if she's so into "reblogging" others' ideas, wouldn't it make sense that she promotes an oil that's only piggybacking on another success? http://www.theessentialfamily.com/essen ... tial-oils/

Alright. I had some steam to blow off. So I made another FJ Scrapbook Page.

Warning- it is funny (imo anyway) but also SPECTACULARLY cruel, so if you're sensitive about these topics, please don't look.

When I click on the 'show spoiler' link it doesn't ever do anything (on any thread I've tried). I'm logged in. What do I need to do?

I'm not sure why the Spoiler tag is messing this up for some people, but if you can't see it the image is hosted here:

It's also a bit bigger in the original version, for people having trouble seeing detail in the smaller version. I'm proud of capturing the weird tongue-teeth smile we see on so many of our fundies.

Nice scrapbook pages, Tonya! You know what they say. The bigger the buckle the overcompensating much?

Speaking of no original thoughts, she goes into it about how terrible microwaves are at one point:

Uh, what. Because it was microwave water that HAD to be why it died, not genetic failings or some kind of unseen fungus or because it was just a weaker plant. Okay then.

I hate using the microwave to cook. I think things taste noticeably different when reheated in a microwave vs stovetop. However, I don't pat myself on the back and assume other people can't get by without a microwave simply because 99% of my microwave use is heating up wheatbags or warming/defrosting cat food.

The microwave kills food? Well, depending on what I'm eating, I really, really want my food to be dead. Because a live chicken makes for a disturbing dinner.

Now she is hawking Stitch Fix, badly. She needs to go back and rewrite some of the post. The kids costumes were cute but odd to spend that much money on them right after a blog post of saving money and being thrifty on clothes.

You silly bitch, don't you know it's more humane to kill your food on the stovetop than in the microwave, which causes unnecessary suffering to your food? You are so ignorant!

Sorry for calling you a bitch, I didn't mean it :geek:

Edited to add that her shaky kimono shirt looks like something Mrs. Roper would wear (Threes Company) for all you whipper snappers. I think I compared her haircut to Janet Wood too.

Wow. That kimono shirt is seriously bad news. Those leggings are pretty awful, too. I'd love to see the stuff that she rejected if that's what she kept. :?

Are you on a mobile device? The spoiler links never work for me on my phone, but they do on the computer.
