Lori Alexander took our advice

Recommended Posts

Her reply to Harlow after she says something about machines taking the place of every profession is scathingly brilliant. "My dear, that's something you need never worry about."

Oh, how I love old Hollywood. :D

And the bit I giffed (is that a word?) is right before that -- Dressler's reaction to Harlow saying "I was reading a book the other day!"

For those reading who have never seen Dinner at Eight, I highly recommend it.

Perfect! I do have to admit that just before clicking on the spoiler, I wondered if it might be a picture of a bedroom dance pole

She loves earthy colours, well indeed she does.

Brown and beige, it looks like shit.

Did you see her previous post, her godly drooling jubilation about her godly family?

Illustrated and graced with a godly, grinning family photograph?

For a woman her age her skirt is 5cm (2 inches) too short, skinny, boney knees.

A few things:

1) Kitty not happy that his human fucked up his habitat. :shifty-kitty:

2) The house belongs to kitty, not Lori and Ken. :shifty-kitty:

3) Kitty is plotting retaliation. :shifty-kitty:

4) Cats NEVER forget. :shifty-kitty:

5) Cats are never submissive. :shifty-kitty:

6) Lori doesn't deserve a cat. :shifty-kitty:

Lol, Lori got catnip on her and the cats attacked her :D That is hilarious :D

If I were a cat I would nip her too, even bite and scratch her!

Oh these hideous haid nails in her sofas! :disgust:

Maybe she was going for the "Christian Risqué" look. Didn't Ken use that term?

Note to Self: Rent Dinner at Eight

I really shouldn't snark on Lori's lack of taste. My apartment is decorated in a look I call "Early Hoarders With Just a Dash of Cat Hair."

Same here, don't worry. It is exactly the reason why I find her interior so utterly sterile, soulless and bourgeois.

She has now a post about an all purpose (godly) cleaner and that is precisely where she should limit herself to, cleaning products is her level of expertise.

I'm more "Ikea and freebies with pretensions of Country Homes and Interiors".

Does her plug at the end mean these are just the old couches which have been covered with different fabric for 1.5k?

My decorating style is second hand but we call it eclectic.....

We call it "shabby chic."

From the comments:

We are in Ct. Don't know anyone who reupolsters furniture in my area at present. Then again I haven't prayed about it either.

Haven't these people heard of the yellow pages? Doesn't Jesus have enough to do without flipping through his Rolodex to find reupholsters in Connecticut?

Since our cat is gone to the other side of the bridge now, our house (which is a rental) still looks like a high school den. Could be the 2 dogs, though they are supposed to use the doggie door, could be the 2 young adults who host parties every 2 weekends to play board games and have bodies draped over a very old futon with a nice cover, bargain couch and love seat, and my Lazy Boy recliner with a poker table in the middle of the room.

The landlord put up gray granite sheets around the fireplace and the room is so dark. I am seriously thinking of painting one wall yellow to bring some light in there. There's only one window.

We too live in an expensive part of SoCal, but we're definitely not keeping up with the Joneses.

Someone ought to take her throw pillows out back and shoot them.

Yes, to start with the faux 'Gobelin' (flowers) one.

Sometimes I wonder if God gets irritated that people like the Maxwells keep bugging him for answers to every little issue when he gave them Google, encyclopedias, and other reference materials.
