Upcoming Babies Part 2

Recommended Posts

Kelly & Sippy: Triumph Perseverance (Jul 2007-Home Birth), Knox Defender(Nov 2008-Home Birth), Loyal Cromwell (Feb 2010-emergency C/S for prolapsed cord), Geneva Constance (May 2011-hospital birth, Kelly looked the colour of barely reheated oatmeal in the post birth pics-I'm guessing anaemia &/or 3rd stage haemorrhage. Took off to Europe a fortnight later, ended up medivaced & requiring emergency D&C for retained tissues. Scott's birth announcement, the photos of the Europe tour and the facebook entry about the medivac have since been purged) & Michael Courage (May 2012-32 weeker). All 14 months apart, give or take a few weeks-except the last two since he was born a few weeks early (his due date fit the schedule, however). Should be birthing this month if she was sticking to prior schedule but seems mysteriously unpregnant.

David & Monica: Iona Wisdom (Jan 2011), William Endurance (April 2012), Samantha Verity (Aug 2013). Average 14.5 month

Blair and Taylor Tsantles: Aeden Chase (Sep 2011) and Adalyn Paige (Aug 2012). 11 months apart. Another under construction, due date ???

Thanks! Wow.

In the previous post they somehow hinted at having had some difficulties in getting pregnant. I wonder if they are choosing an hospital birth because of that.

I think their "difficulties getting pregnant" are a relative term. They've been married for about 18 months, so it took them nine months to conceive. Only in fundieland would nine months be considered "difficult." It's not as if it took years and were consulting fertility specialists. They likely compared Valerie to her sisters and Priscilla and wondered why she didn't get knocked up 3 months into married life.

Anna Duggar freaked out when she wasn't pregnant four months after marrying Smugger. They got married in September, and she was knocked up in Feb. Don't these women think they're good for anything else than popping out babies? I guess not.

This. And they are both in their early 30's so the baby making period of time is already a shorter window than their siblings. I'm sure they were both thinking that it took them a long time (in the fundie universe) to find someone to marry and they probably thought God would bless them with an arrow for that quiver right away. So I think when that didn't happen, it seemed like a real fertility issue. I'm happy for them, I know they are Gothardites, but they seem to love each other and they aren't in your face about their craziness like Prissy and the Peacan Thief.

Yep, I agree that the "difficulties" were relative. They managed to get pregnant within the year of marriage, so not bad at all. Back when I was first married, I remember talking to my gyno about getting pregnant and his advice was to expect it to take up to two years. After that and nothing happened, then it might be considered a fertility issue. But for fundies expecting something to happen right away, two years has got be agonizing.

Agree that they seem to be happy and really care for each other. While I know both of them are older and Davey and Pris, they don't seem so crazy, are a lot quieter and well, more grounded. In fact, it rather amazes me that Adam is Davey's brother. Wonder what he ever thought of the pecan gleaning story.

Can we add Abi Wissmann on the list? Her latest FB pictures shows a bump. Cookie bump or baby bump? Or older picture?

Meredith Hammer changed her FB profile photo yesterday to a black & white of a new baby. No information, just the photo. My guess is it's a boy. Not sure why I think that, maybe just the cute little striped outfit?

Ohhhhhh, nooooooo!

I was surprised she got married. In a Louis Theroux documentary when she was still living at home, she explained to Louis that she was never getting married because she was married to Christ (or something to that effect). She's an evil, evil woman.

I don't think she's pregnant. In the latest photos on the Wissman blog she doesn't have a pronounced bump. I think she's just naturally stocky.

Meredith Hammer definitely had a boy - there's a comment on the new profile picture that says "He is just so cute!"

Does anyone remember where her mom's blog is? Can't remember her name (or Mer's maiden name). I'm sure she's blogging all over herself with this second grandbaby. Meredith does make cute babies, although not sure how she does it with her husband's unfortunate looks.

Meredith's maiden name is Alexander. I think her mom's blog is called alexanderadventure.

No such luck. The Alexanders haven't updated their blog since June.

I feel a conspiracy going on! No Alexanders, no Mortons, no Sanders, no Loomi, no Servens -- who else is holding out on us?

I remember her in those documentaries...she made my blood run cold, she is so damn creepy. She seems to be the most apt pupil of her grandfather and the next Shirley. That poor baby.

That baby will be picketing from the stroller. Oh, wait, probably from the front pack. Gotta start 'em young! And yes, Jael was hauntingly cheerful in those BBC documentaries, laughing and smiling all the while spewing such vile things with such utter confidence.

Yes, there has to be something going on! I can't believe the Sanders haven't blogged in almost 5 months.

And the Sanders are almost hardly snarkworthy, so if they know about us, I can't imagine they would cut us off! They do attend Vision Forum conferences and post photos online of processing their chickens (nice!), but the rest of what they do as part of self-sustainable living is actually pretty fascinating (and motivating). Hello, Sanders -- blog something!

I hope it wasn't something we said! If it wasn't FJ, what could be the problem? I really like the Sanders blog, they used to have updates every week.
