How could she do this when she is so broke she declared bankruptcy? And possibly a single mom-not sure what the deal is with her husband. Did she pay cash for a small, needs-improvement type house? Do a personal loan, not a regular mortgage?

Could she even get a personal loan with the bankruptcy going on? And wouldn't there be some language in the bankruptcy proceedings forbidding you from obtaining/attempting to obtain additional lines of credit until the bankruptcy was closed? Hell, my divorce papers even said that I wasn't allowed to open any new credit accounts that my ex might be eventually held liable for until the divorce was final.

You can't get new credit during bankruptcy proceedings or while under a repayment plan but, since the bankruptcy was denied, she's not technically "in" a bankruptcy anymore. Still, I can't see her passing a credit check to get a loan with her history unless someone else is buying the home in their name and letting her live there.

No reputable mortgage company would give her a loan. The one I work for would laugh her application out the door, then share amongst themselves about the fool who actually thought she could qualify. People with fewer financial issues than she has are the stuff of legends in the mortgage business. If her father is buying the house, he is doing it on his own, in his own name. Her name on the application would kill it.

Or, she managed to find a seller who was willing to sell but carry the mortgage for her or do a rent to own. I don't think a responsible owner would rent to her at this point what with the bankruptcy and the state of the last house, but MckMama has a genius for finding marks.

True and, with the separation, it'd be easy for her to paint herself as a down-on-her-luck single mom and blame the bankruptcy and horrible finances on ex?-hubby.

Oh, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if she got a mortgage or a rent-to-own type thing. People like McMama can sell anything, including herself as a worthy mortgage applicant. Now, someone like myself would get help up by a $12 medical debt from 1988,

but folks like Jen seem to land on their feet with a $500,000 mortgage in their pocket.

Is it legal for a mortgage company to google her? That's all it would take for a loud no for a mortgage.

Of course it's legal. But they wouldn't need to, her bankruptcy would show up on her credit report. She cannot buy a house. Her father might have for her. But she's the queen of lies so you don't believe anything she says.

Pretty nice house for someone who has debts of $750,000.

Isn't that the truth? That house is nicer than mine and we've never filed for bankruptcy and are pretty damn close to being debt free. Can you imagine what the trustee is thinking?

Does anyone know if she has any upcoming court dates regarding the bankruptcy?

I'm not sure about court dates. This is her second or third contract for deed. The housing market there must truly suck if the property owners aren't doing any kind of research. The place will be trashed when she is done with it, not unlike the last five.

My guess is either the owners have known her a long time since it's the area where she grew up, or they are friends with her parents.

Based on years of reading snark sites: Many snark sites have a tendency when bored or as they age to "eat their own." I've seen that happen to a lot of them. Also there are usually more juicy stories or meaty material at the beginning of things because no one has been hunting down history or looking for the stories. Once we get to know the players, it gets more dull so unless the blogger, personality, or whoever, is steadily doing new stunts or bad things, the talk naturally winds down. Human nature being the people want to continue talking so they either pick on what they can of their subject or each other. For me the key is knowing when to bail. I once saw a timeline of snark blogs and I should have kept it. It was a humorous description of this pattern.

I'm not saying that is true of FJ and I agree that the variety of subjects helps deter that as there is a never ending supply of what are they thinking to talk about.

Seriously?!?! 750k in debt and that is where she is living? I appreciate the update, I cannot deal with MWOP's layout, nor the endless posting about the same thing. But, really? How? I do get that she had to put down a huge down payment, and she will likely have to move again, once the balloon payment is due, but really? This woman is 100% about appearances. Any other person in her situation would be living in a small rental and saving that 20-30k to pay back the IRS, etc. She has got to be one of the best scammers I've seen. Nothing seems to stick to her, and that's just wrong.

I do hope Jenny's discarded chickens do come home to roost. There has to be some fairness in life, right? Right?

Edited because my goodness, some of those "ladies" over at MWOP are a nasty bunch. Their credibility is circling the drain. And they have the NERVE to call us mean.

MWOP can be kind of a guilty pleasure. I like to pop in on the "read without a click" deal now and again.

And now apparently she's giving the Xyng stuff to one of the kids. There's kind of a handwave that implies she talked to the pediatrician about it.

She has an Instagram (McMama77), if anyone is bored playing with Smuggar and needs a new target.

Oh, and wearing the Diva Cup lapel pin is "too public" but Facebook is not...

Why oh why does she think anyone cares about what kind of sanitary device she uses? Ofcourse, her leghumpers think she invented that damn thing, but no one else can possibly be interested.

But putting photos up of shirtless children with porn tags or taking photos of vomit, now that is just "how she rolls".

I want the train to wreck, but am willing to be there is a "marital reunion" and possibly #6, McRib, to coincide with her losing her domain to the Bankruptcy Trustee.

Well, if she's using a Diva Cup, she apparently doesn't have a McRib cooking yet.

Speaking of which, I know those things are disgusting, but I want one (McRib, not Diva Cup).

Ugh, I'm sure you're right. Only, I think it will be spelled "MckRib."

What would that house cost in her area? I lived in a similar home until my husband was laid off and its value was $250K. It had some issues which is why it was so cheap.

It was $198,000 or $199,000 if I remember right. It is a flipped house so I'm guessing it's not top of the line work. The back yard is very steep, her kids could easily get into trouble with that yard. And the back deck is not child safe. It's in a very nice neighborhood.

WI is such a clusterfick right now in regards to housing prices. It is hard to get financing based just on the fact that so many houses are NOT selling, so it is hard to get an appraisal. Then there are some that do short sales, which drive down the prices.

Honestly, it is easier to get into a fancy home if you have crappy credit and do a CFD, then if you have good credit and try to finance. SO wrong.
