Jill might not have testified beceuse the prosecution felt that Bobye did a compelling job on her own and they didn't have to put Jill through that.

I don’t think we can really tell how Joy, Austin or any of them are feeling when walking in or out of court or at any time. They are walking through cameras, lights and people yelling questions at them. That alone would cause a frown on my face outside of the fact I already have resting bitch face. In school photos I always looked sad even though I was a happy kid. Now I just look mad in photos if I don’t have the biggest smile I can muster, even if I am perfectly happy.  

We can’t look at any of them and proclaim to know what they feel. I think we are putting our need to believe they feel as we think they should feel ahead of the fact we don’t actually know these people and can’t know what they are feeling or thinking. Some may have forgiven Josh and feel they are basically being attacked by the prosecution for bringing this up again. Some may be furious at Josh for bringing shame on the family again. Some may want him to rot in jail for everything he has done to them. We just don’t know.

Same here. There's so much growing up to do at that age, so much of the world to see and try out. Too many of the 2nd gen fundies we see getting married and having babies treat it like a game, and it's not.

Yeah, I remembered that the official timeline was bunkum, but couldn't remember exactly how old he was. So Jackson *could* be courting right now and have been doing so for a while per past precedent. Hopefully not though! And Johannah's now 16 too, so we could start seeing the lost girls start dating/courting/getting married in the not too distant future. Gah.

No. I'm an attorney, and an attorney agreeing to "not overly cross-examine" one witness in exchange for another not being called is just not a thing or really even ethical. Attorneys have to zealously represent their clients. The prosecution most likely just had Jill as a back-up to Bobye but didn't want to overload the record talking about Josh's past similar acts.  Jill wasn't a necessary witness.

States she uses Tor for extra security in work and not for anything illegal

Discussion and demonstration on use of uTorrent. Only on HP computer not mac book or other devices. Said she had to search command codes despite experience to download uTorrent

I’m afraid that now the show is done and Josh has brought extreme disgrace on the family, the younger girls will marry young to get the fuck out of there. Or at least Hannie and Jenny. Maybe Jordyn and Josie will stay a little longer than their 18th birthdays.

Because it's not possible he borrowed another phone, used a previous phone via wifi after uninstalling Covenant Eyes (would he even need to, to search "Linux command codes how to"? I mean that's hardly something that would trigger a notice to Anna), got a burner phone, asked somebody about command codes, or found out in any other way than researching the commands on the devices he currently has right this minute. What does she mean by that exactly? In my (admittedly limited) experience downloading things to Linux, usually the download page just gives you the commands. Would that count as "researching command codes"? Or does she just mean she didn't find evidence of pest googling "how to download tor on Ubuntu"?

OK tech. How would my access to a router that is not mine (like my neighbor's, or a local hotel, or like all the thousands who use an MickeyD router to do homework--allow me to download child porn on somebody else's Linus side of their computer? Not an argument, really want to know if that is possible.

When Windows comes preinstalled on a PC it typically has a recovery partition containing the installation files, which is used to wipe it and make a fresh install if the main partition gets messed up.

As for partitioning to set up Linux for dual booting, that's a default option for friendly distributions such as Ubuntu Linux:

By default when you boot the computer it waits a few seconds for you to choose which OS you want to boot into but that can be configured to wait for a shorter or longer time or to just boot the default OS unless you press a particular key to force it to ask. That's not difficult to setup but it's less obvious. It's easy to look up how though.
