(CW: CSA) Josh & Anna 41: Will the Rebers Continue their B&B for Child Predators After the Trial?

I just don't understand why the parents are not there, if not for Josh, for the benefit of their other kids who are probably devaststed about learning the truth about things they were not totally aware of. This is weird, and I can't understand why Jill didn't testify.

The Sun is not a good source of information; I wish they weren't the ones covering the trial.

How many boys are left to be married off ?? I’m wondering how the trial will effect their courtship opportunities if seen at the courthouse supporting Josh. As a woman, that would be an automatic NO from me

There are 4 boys left to be married. Jer (almost 23), Jason (21), James (20), and Jackson (17). Jer is courting, so he'll likely be married within a year.

I agree, but while I don't think JB is outraged at the nature of the porn I think he's furious that Josh took it that far so it ended in a public trial.

It was absolutely a pretend job, real used car salesmen hustle because if they don't sell they don't get paid.

I don’t think JB would mind the CSAM as long as no one found out.

The prosecution may feel they have enough damning evidence without putting Jill on the stand.

My guess is that the prosecution didn't need her after Bobye's testimony drove the point home and the defense couldn't find much wrong with her testimony.  I don't think they like putting a victim on the stand unless necessary.

I think it's a shame she didn't pop down to attend the trial to show her support.

And Tyler

True; he's only 13, though, so it will be a while.

Hannah Wissmann seems to still be all in.

It's upsetting to think that 17 year old Jackson could be thinking about marriage. These people judge the mainstream for oversexualizing young people, but then start pushing their kids towards marriage before they're legal adults.

ISTR that an on-screen popup on one episode said that Josh had to sell six cars a month in order to keep the lot.  That doesn’t even seem like it would make a profit, let alone support a growing family.

Also, the cell mate hasn't taken the stand. They must feel further witnesses are not needed?

Cell mates are usually one of the least reliable witnesses. Bobye Holt is about a million times more reliable.

To answer your actual question, there are 3 unmarried adult Duggar sons and 1 minor son. Jeremiah (22) is dating Hannah Wissman and has not been seen at the trial, while Jason (21) and James (20) - both publicly unattached - are attending the trial today. Then Jackson at 17 is the last Duggar son, and while a minor, is about the same age Justin was when he started dating/courting Claire. Then it's all girls from there aside from Tyler (13), who isn't officially a Duggar.

I am a person that has a hard time with tech and my husband has been in IT for decades. Sometimes he will be talking about something for work and my brain fails. But if i was a juror on this trial I would work my butt off trying to understand the technical aspect.

When I FIRST heard about his arrest, I hoped for the sake of what the rest of the family had already gone through that he'd been illegally pirating Disney movies since I've heard that they can often have unknown inappropriate material hidden in the torrent files... unfortunately for his family that doesn't appear to have been the case.

I feel so badly for his victims, it is nice to see that Derick & Austin are there to offer support to Jill & Joy & even to Anna.  I do feel badly for what Anna is going through, she grew up being taught that her life revolved around her husband, I couldn't imagine having to deal with the stigma of what is going on right now while looking after 7 kids...

Josh and the Holt girl were courting at 14. That’s insane. Maybe JB changed the rules after that was broken off.

It really is. I taught high school for 4 years, and interned at one for several months before I taught. Most 17 years are just not ready for that responsibility, even the most mature ones.

I think they had her ready as a threat to the defence. If they would have questioned Bobyes testimony too much, they would have been able to bring Jill...

I think James was there for Jill. Is Jason close with James? They looked very sad when leaving the court, those weren't sympathetic to Josh faces. I think Austin had been crying. I highly doubt there ismuch support for Kosh among the attending siblings (accept baby Justin maybe?)

I was one of the most mature 17 year olds you would run across. Yet I was still so damn immature and I had no clue how immature I actually was. Because I was so much more mature than my peers, I didn’t see the immaturities I still had. I was blind to them at the time. Like most teens

I would have been interested in what this witness "brought to the table" though. I suppose a convict is a "gimme" for cross examination by the defence though

Actually Justin was 16 when he started courting Claire. When they announced their engagement, Justin was barely 18 and Claire said they were together 14 months. We later found out Justin proposed around a week before his birthday.
