Bizarre addition to the evidence in a file.on the thumb drive was named Quiz Mommy Amy King Duggar. No implication this file is anything sinister. Unclear what it is or why relevant.

Fottrell says avoiding paparazzi not a reason that makes sense to use Tor.

A hidden wiki found on partition with list of websites to "commit crime"

Fottrell states he sae no evidence of remote access of the Linux partition.

I'm sure there are more little things that will look a bit, well, icky in light of the new info coming out.

I'm jumping ahead on this before reading the rest of the thread, because this has been weighing heavily on my mind. That is, if a lot of the past twenty years of dysfunctional and prudish rules are not just for the sake of their odd ideas about what Jesus wants, but as a reaction to their messed-up son that they don't want to admit needs more fixing than prayer jargon can handle.

If he shared his universal PW with lots of people, he’s an idiot. This is a PW that he said was tied to his financial accounts as well. Further, LE has tied download and viewing times to periods when Josh was physically at the car lot. I’ve heard the office is quite small. Is it possible that Josh was there and someone else was using his computer to access CP while he was out working the lot? I find all this quite doubtful.

Josh may not have started his sexual abuse before the age of 10, but he could have been acting out already and been physically and verbally abusive towards his younger siblings. A while ago, I read a magazine article about a young girl in an upper middle class (presumably white) family. She was, I think, the eldest and her parents discovered her trying to harm her brother when she was around five and her brother was a baby or toddler. The harm would have been significant and her parents sought professional help. The professionals determined that the usual development of empathy had not occurred in the young girl. The article discussed techniques the professionals were using to teach her to at least simulate empathy and correct behavior to keep her from being a risk to society. This was a well written article in Atlantic Magazine or a similar periodical.

I hate the "bad seed" theory of child development, but am willing to entertain it as an explanation for Josh and his perversions.

Defence back up to cross examine.. will edit in as it comes in.

Focusing on the thumb drive and router agIn. Its like Groundhog Day

Fottrell.possibly getting peeved with defence. Paparazzi angle again, defence states personal info can be sold. Fotrell retorts what info? Tor hides location

Fotrell asked if possible for anyone other than person behind computer to have watched streamed content. Possible but unlikely.

Fotrell states if someone watching content remotely whilst Josh using computer he would have seen it.

We can hope that she won’t have to look at him until Monday when he goes to court.

Right now, he is at the Rebers.  I would hope that a few people (one won’t be enough) will tell Anna to stay home with her kids this weekend and not visit Josh.  They can frame it any way they think she would accept it  — saying she needs to gather her strength to be there for him on Monday, saying her children need her.  Just give the poor woman a weekend off.  Have her watch stupid fundy-approved films with her kids, bake cookies, help the kids make Christmas presents… anything that will let her take her mind of how her husband has betrayed them all.  I hope a compassionate woman whom she trusts will come and pray with her, and I hope she can get the strength to be the mother her kids need even though her world has (once again) fallen apart.

Who knows though.  She may feel she has to take the kids to see Daddy tomorrow.

If they confiscated it from him it's not bizarre to me.  I probably have 50 flash between my house, purse, laptop bags, and car and if my kids grabbed one to borrow they could have anything on them from a Windows 10 ISO boot to files named anything from Buffys nonsense to kiddo pics 2015 or whatever.

Anna could have downloaded something from Amy and he just grabbed the flash drive for something else.

If the defence ( yes I’m English so spell it this way!) is that Josh was trying to avoid the paparazzi sneaking info on his family why on earth did his wife have public Instagram, Twitter and Parler accounts? Plus she wanted to be on TV more. As her headship he could have limited public access to his family a lot more effectively.
