A YouTube channel I occasionally watch has an interesting episode on being raised under the Pearl method of child abuse. The woman is now out of the cult and is helping others transition out. There is some footage of Michael Pearl teaching others how to hit children, and also of Debi encouraging women to totally cede authority (which I think means turn a blind eye when hubby is hitting the child). Disturbing! I’ll try to link the video, but it’s Cults to Consciousness YouTube channel, “To Train Up a Child” is in the title.
