Jill posted an IG story this morning I think thanking a friend for bringing coffee or giving her and Derrick a coffee date or something like that. Also, then a cute picture of Sam. I am so glad she's distanced from the family but it still has to be hard and a lot to process considering the abuse she endured as a kid. 

When is the next baby due in the Duggar family? It will be interesting to see how they announce it...with comments kept off?

Black eye?  I wish but unfortunately I think his left eye is just puffy maybe?  If you google his name and look at images it looks like the more recent pics his left eye seems, more closed(?) than the right.  He also looks puffy all over and has a stain on his reddish shirt in one, so pretty much a hot mess vibe in addition to being a massive POS.

He does not need to be physically sexually abused in order to become the predator that he has become and is. His abuse began when he was told over and over again by his parents and their peers that he can pretty much do as he pleases and will never receive retribution or suffer consequences.  This will eventually forge a way of thinking. If then in your community you watch, see and realise that women and girls have no rights, no privileges and essentially are barely tolerated humans that one needs to provide sandwiches, sex and babies you can not but wonder who else. Rather.  As his Mum once said : A duggar women does not say no. (that literally is abuse here - her daughters, her daughter in laws, heck any women named Duggar is not allowed to say no to their husbands, that there is abuse and ok'ing rape in the marriage bed).
Josh was created by his parents, their peers, their churches - heck look at all of the republican party men and listen to what they actually say - and one can see that this behaviour is learned and to some extend in his culture is accepted and understood. And its the fault of 5 year olds and their wily female ways leading good men astray.  

I don't think he was ever abused sexually physically, but he was abused like all his siblings any other way, emotionally, mentally and to some extend physically.  The preference for children is something i believe these type of abusers are born with, just some learn and understand and controll, and others are let loose to do as they please cause they are men. Godly men.

Or I might think that there are a lot of people who are really into my private life in a way that I feel might be creepy, and because I've been raised to think Dad and Mom always have my best interests, and these people don't even know me or my family, why should I trust them?

N.B. that I obviously think that they should leave fundamentalism, but let's not act like FreeJinger will suddenly shine a light into their darkness if they're convinced that their family is good.

I also think it’s possible that the lack of real information about sex can lead to this type of conduct, right? In his world he knew nothing of normal sexual development. So even if he wasn’t actually abused himself he had no ability to determine what normal healthy sexual attraction looks like.

Eh, I respectfully disagree. Given the stuff in the police report, and the charges he's been arrested on, I think this goes WAY beyond "I don't understand normal sexual development." There are plenty of sexually unaware men and women who manage to not commit sex crimes against children.

It is making me a little uncomfortable seeing the comments saying Anna should lose her kids, etc.  We have zero reason to believe she knew anything about this before yesterday.  I hardly doubt this would be info Josh would share with her or anyone.  What will be telling is how Anna reacts NOW.  And the reaction may not be immediate.  I suspect this is going to be hard to process. There will be a lot of grief.  It may take until the actual trial for her to be given the truth about the evidence.  But once she hears the evidence of she still stays with Josh I will lose all sympathy for her.  But given how gross these charges are I have hope that she will do the right thing for the sake of her kids.  

I also question if JB knew about this in advance.  If he did, I doubt he shared it with others in the family for fear that the news might leak out. But I do believe if he knew he may have worked hard behind the scenes to broker marriages and such quickly before the shit hit the fan.

My prediction is that Anna will divorce Josh but will stay with the Duggar family.  JB and Michelle will also distance themselves from Josh once the evidence is clear and Josh is incarcerated.  And then JB will try to rebrand the family as a '19 KAC Moving On' type of story line where they try to portray themselves as a big caring family who is supporting Anna and the M's during this tragic time.  Ugh.

The shame of all of this is there is a chance this could have all been avoided if JB&M had gotten Josh proper help when he was a teen.  Not giving Josh a pass on this (his smug ass needs locked up for a long time), but if JB&M had done their job as parents 20 years ago there may not be  countless destroyed lives now.

Given that we know JB controls the money, what kinds of assets could Anna realistically lay claim to if she were to divorce? I’ve never heard of someone suing their father-in-law for alimony or child support. I know her sister has money, or she could have free childcare at her parents’ and get a job, or write a tell-all or do paid interviews, so I’m not saying she doesn’t have options, but I’m curious from a legal standpoint. 

That having been said, I suspect she’ll stay. The M kids are supposedly very close with the Lost Girls and cousins, so she might justify to herself that she’s providing them stability and continuity in a tough time. She also grew up as one of eight kids crammed into a mobile home, and now she can live in the Duggar mansion. Josh will not be in her day-to-day life either way, and apparently federal prison doesn’t allow conjugal visits, so her wifely duties would be limited to emotional support for Josh and toeing the Duggar line. We know she loves being part of the Duggar world, and I just don’t see her giving up creature comforts and status as a fundie martyr to go live on chickenetti, financially reliant on people who think she fucked up her whole life.

She’s also in a cult that says husbands will behave as long as wives are cheerful sexy doormats, and if the husband strays the wife must not be pulling her weight. We all know that’s bullshit, but I can fully imagine her trying to deal with the situation by just doubling on down on trying to be the perfect fundie woman from the familiar comfort of the TTH  

I am not in any way trying to excuse her possibly staying at this point, just to understand it. I hope I’m wrong.

Nope.  Many people lack knowledge on sexual development, but very few teenage boys see prepubesent girls as sexual.  There is something broken in him far deeper than lack of education.

I don't have any idea if he were abused or not, and I certainly think he could have done this with no abuse in his past whatsoever.  It's what happens when you teach boys that girls and women exist for the pleasure and service of men.
